Ok, so what ive gathered is those people pretended to know more about the walking dead than they let on.
Molly and Glenn have called them… more geeks. Comics call them roamers and lurkers. Abrahams group calls them zombies. Governor calls them biters. Rick and Lees group calls them walkers. Maggie calls them mom (honest trailers reference) And cabin group calls them lurkers despite that they are not lurking. Did I miss any nick names for the walkers? I think I got all of them.
Wow season 2 group is dangerous.

Lee calls them zombies once or twice in the first episode (one time optionally, and another time it's unavoidable, to my knowledge anyway). But after that, he started calling them Walkers.

There was a new group in the last issue(127) who called them Stinkers. lol
oh aya I remember that. I think its a mistake though.

I think that's just what Abrahams group calls them. Maybe Eugene was the only one who ever played video games lol.

It's a mistake in the writing, Robert said clearly that there're no "zombies" or any zombie-related pop culture in TWD (the comics).
In the TV-Show, they're walkers (biters in the German version, only one I know besides the English one)
In the game, they are walkers or lurkers (or geeks)
In the comics, they are either walkers, lurkers or indeed zombies.
Everyone has their own way of calling them, but zombie you only find in the comics and three times in the game, twice said out loud, once as a prompt.
