I'm pretty sure that's only a reference to his nursery rhyme. You can see there are more images on the glass window and it pretty much fits:"There was a crooked man, and he walked a crooked mile"

About the lost cat posters, it's based on one of the directors of TWAU cat. I'll see if I can find the link.

    Edit: Found it, fuzzypixel.tumblr.com

  • On the stained glass windows at the back of the room behind the main desk, there's a few images of what looks like a younger crooked man doing something, haven't seen what though.

  • They might be implying that his house is metaphorically crooked, rather than physically. Since the doors change periodically, and the Crooked Man is considered a "Bad Guy", his house would be considered more of a lair, and lair are evil. Evil can be described as crooked, therefore his house is crooked because it is essentially an evil place. Yeah. Makes sense. Maybe.

That's also part of the Crooked Man's nursery rhyme.

There was a crooked man, and he walked a crooked mile.
He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile.
He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse,
And they all lived together in a little crooked house.

CAT!!! I love cats! I actually own one of those furry, cable-biting bastards. Still, can't get enough of them...

Anyway... The mirror shows the entire nursery rhyme, first window depicts him walking, second picking up a sixpence, third is with a cat (and a mouse if I recall correctly) and fourth one shows a house.

I'll balance the coolness of that cat with the cuteness of this one:

Though we should really stop, it can easily get out of control with cat pictures.
