STORYLINE LACKS on S02EP3 (SPOILER ALL AROUND)

Well... In S02EP3 I just wanted to stay with CARVER. I suppose after seeing that's imposible... that creators wantted ALL PEOPLE to HATE Carver
for sure, with acts like Reggie Murder.

But well, I just was not impressed, like my character I try to feel what she feels, is now harder, tought and focus on survival. MY Lee end bad with Kenny in first season, so I don't care too much about him, and the rest of the new people, except maybe Luke... well I just don't know them a ****

I prefer to stay in the base with Carver, Redhead etc...

BUT OK, I will consider creators don't want that in any case! OK i Respect it cause is a game, not total life simulator.
Ok ok, but then... if you creators don't consider at all that possibility... then THEN THEN...

Don't put in the game the Office Scene when you literally can show to Carver that he is totally right! Cause in that moment I thought I would be able to choose that side, but not at all. I had to try to escape anyway.

SO, I think that creators miss a storyline here, the chapter could end in the same way, but creators should put the possibility of betray yours "partners" in the meantime, at least a little.

  • The idea of this added possibility sounds interesting, but you have to consider the fact that TTG has a certain goal with Clementine. Implementing the possibility to join Carver would probaby stray from that particular goal too much. Also, this would cost a lot of extra work, they would probably think that it wouldn't be worth it.
The scene at the office was indeed a moment to show Carver is ''right'', but I interpreted it as a moment for Clementine to lie to him so she could get on his good side, not a moment to really join him.

  • Well, this is totally new.

People have theorized about a Dark!Clem ever since Carver pointed out the similarities between them so maybe Carver will have a lasting impression on her and the way she goes about things. Who knows. I think it was a smart thing for Clem and her group to escape - Carver would have killed every single one of them regardless of age or if they even did anything to begin with.

  • When Clem can say she agrees with him in the office, she was only pretending...

  • This is all opinion based. I don't think Clem could go with a guy who slapped her in the face/threatened her at the beginning of the episode. Not to mention the guards (Troy) treat her like utter sh*t. It'd be bad writing if she stayed, yet it'd be bad writing if there wasn't an option to stay. They have to look at what the majority want and what makes sense. Very little people would want to stay with a dictator.

  • I don't think Clementine would betray her friends, it isn't in her character to be a backstabber in my opinion.

  • I realized later but Carver telling me "we are not too much different" was promising.

  • I'm agree, but I don't consider that people friends at all... I mean, if people consider the office scene, just pretending... then the bedroom scene with Sarah could be pretending to. The kindness with luke, pretending too.

After all Clem suffered... I just imagine her trusting no one.

  • I do agree that Telltale wanted us to hate Carver, which forced us Carver lovers to side against him for the most part. His death should have been determinant, it would be awesome if he was still around. Possibly plotting his revenge and stuff.

  • Thanks god I'm not like The Devil or something then.

  • I wouldn't say it would be bad writing per say, If she felt intimated or coerced in some way , she would have some obligation to stay, for example. What if the writers wrote Kenny , as he was beaten so badly he would need weeks to recover. I think she would stay to take care of him, because i think Clem does care for Kenny.

i thought this bit was a little disappointing. i kind of expected more to come of it. he has a little talk with clem, then he gets killed off. no goin around trying to show his way is right, or the things he has to deal with to try and groom her into his sort of next gen leader. she just gets sent off to do more random work.

I realized later but Carver telling me "we are not too much different" was promising.

  • they should have option to convince the group to stay lol
