Well...
Since this is the walking dead, no, she will not.
Yeah, I guess. Wish Clem would get some kind of happy ending but that probably wont happen since this is The Walking Dead.
Every time Clem asked me that in Season 1 I always said things would go back to normal at some point and I think they will. I hare no idea how though.
Yes to the question in the title. No to the question in the post.
Unfortunately not. This is Robert Kirkman's world. Therefore, there are no happy endings
She might be able to find a community that is relatively safe but i really doubt there will be a time where walkers aren't a threat.
Just the way I like it. Happy endings get boring and repetitive, that's why I absolutely loved the shit out of the ending for Season 1. The cliffhanger made everything better too, I love cliffhangers.
Eventually the Walkers will kill over from starvation. I think I remember reading that somewhere.
No, Telltale games will never release an episode on time.
OHHHH you meant the game, no.
If humanity was to survive that kind of outbreak, It has to alter their rules of existence.
Short answer, No, No return. But You still can get rid of the walkers tough.
There might be glimpses of the old world.. Moments that make you forget that this whole thing happened.. Like Lee pushing Clem on the swing. There can still be happy moments in the world, glimpses of humanity left in people.. Things might never go back to normal..but my Clem will die with a clear conscience.. knowing she did the right thing and followed Lee's legacy.
Without hope of a better tomorrow, humanity has nothing. A world without walkers may not be in the cards; but relatively safe havens aren't completely out of the question.
There is no way sorry. I still agree with Kenny for the best way to survive the apocalypse. That is, use a boat to travel to an uncharted island and live happily ever after.
In all fairness, there wasn't much hope for humanity before the apocalypse.
This comment has just earned the biggest Skylar Approved ever!
I hope not it would be a pretty terrible game then
"So many questions. Never mind, answers soon. Nothing is insoluble. Nothing is hopeless. Not while there is life.". -Rorschach's Journal
Exactly.Sad endings may be considered bad,but they are actually the proof that it was a great game(I'm gonna get a tons of dislikes)
To continue the quote
"So many questions. Never mind. Answers soon. Nothing is insoluble. Nothing is hopeless. Not while there's life. In the cemetery, all the white crosses stood in rows, neat chalk marks on a giant scoreboard. Paid last respects quietly, without fuss. Edward Morgan Blake. Born in 1924. Forty-five years a comedian. Died 1985, buried in the rain. Is that what happens to us? A life of conflict with no time for friends … so that when it's done, only our enemies leave roses. Violent lives, ending violently. Dollar Bill , The Silhouette, Captain Metropolis … we never die in bed. Not allowed. Something in our personalities, perhaps? Some animal urge to fight and struggle, making us what we are? Unimportant. We do what we have to do. Blake understood. Treated it like a joke, but he understood. He saw the cracks in society, saw the little men in masks trying to hold it together … he saw the true face of the twentieth century and chose to become a reflection of it, a parody of it. No one else saw the joke. That's why he was lonely.
I heard joke once: Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed, life is harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in threatening world. Doctor says, "Treatment is simple. The great clown Pagliacci is in town. Go see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears."But doctor" He says, "I am Pagliacci." Good joke. Everybody laugh. Roll on snare drum. Curtains."
Rorschach is pretty much the opposite of an optimist; he's an absolutist in the face of extreme pessimism and that's pretty much why things turn out for him the way the do.
They're getting a lot closer in the comics.
Do you think things will ever get back to how they were?
Yeah. not sure when. but one day..
I hope its soon.
As always, it's always our fault! ^ ^
Just like if you'd take the zombies away and apply this question to the real world, the answer'd still be "No, there isn't."
A world without walkers - no.
A world that can handle walkers - yes.
I don't think Clem will ever see a truly "good" world, and this is assuming she'll die of old age. I think humanity simply went back a couple of thousands of years to when we were barely starting to settle in cities. Things will obviously improved and walkers will be handled one way or another until they're no longer a threat. Scavengers will essentially cease to exist due to the small amount of victims to be found, people will make a proper way to dispose of corpses a part of their culture, religion or tradition and the population of walkers will slowly start decreasing until it reaches zero or nearly zero. After that, the world will essentially be in Antiquity (not a great time to be alive). Then, humanity will advance through empires, monarchies and republics until it reaches democracy. This will probably happen faster than last time, since there's already a precedent. Science, on the other hand, may take a while longer or just never recover. This is what I think would happen and it's all just a theory, of course.
Hope is the last thing humanity can lost!.
By this logic, we lost hope 5 minutes into S2 XD
Yeah, that's fair. Rorschach's a man of contradictions too. In his journal he talks about good vs. evil in absolute terms. But in front of the doctor he sounds more like a Nietzche wannabe.
Hmm perhaps.
I do believe sometime in the future there will either be a cure, or people would just have to adapt with the fact of putting down others when they die. The Walking Dead is starting to become more civlized, notice the more frequent appearances of communities. There must be tons out there which are well-established, organized and helpful unlike Carvers Camp which wasn't so helpful.
Not to mention in the comics Rick has set up a pretty great community.
She IS living. As we play we see her living. And humanity is still around. People died before the walkers, and they still die after.
Unhappy endings can be just as trite and predictable in their own right. Both TWD and GAME OF THRONES have become almost infamous for their "everything's always going to turn out for the worst" attitude towards storytelling. It's the equivalent of watching an axe murderer kill a puppy. There's no surprise or innovation involved, because you KNOW he's going to kill the puppy. But for some reason, a lot of contemporary writers have mistaken this as something "ballsy".
Well true, nothing can be original these days. That being said, they CAN be original in the way they execute it. We all know the axe murderer is going to kill the puppy, but do we know exactly how? That creates tension and suspense, as long as they do it in a way we haven't seen, or haven't seen enough, then it's fine.
Rick and his community just went through 2 years of no conflicts except just dealing with walkers every now and then. Maybe Clem can actually find safety in a community like this
I am the one who hopes
Clem and whoever else survives will more than likely always have to deal with Walkers, but perhaps they will find a place they can live with minimal threats and can grow old in realitive safety and peace.
Yep, they endured so much pain and in the end, Rick managed to pull it off, and build a life for all of them.
Now only if Clem could get there with Kenny...
Walkers can't die from starvation.
Yeah, I misread it. Walkers will actually just fall apart because they keep rotting over the months.
Probably not :I
Although, there could always be a safety plan like the boat or wellington or whatever, but that's the closest she'll get to safety.
--Or like Clem_Is_Awesome brought up, Rick's safe community is a good place, so they might get to build a place like that or whatever :P
