whenever you get the option to talk most people always chose to speak but if you do a second playthrough and dont say anything you can find out some neat facts about characters, for example when you first meet Luke, if you chose to be silent Nick will say something like "look kid sorry to break it to you but im an expert at talking to girls who don't want to talk to me" implying that he isn't very good with women

    I think its implying that he WAS good with women, thats why telltale created him after all.

    Nah cuz he's saying the women didn't want to talk to him. He's making a self-deprecating joke that of course no-one can make the mistake of taking seriously when lady walkers and forum posters alike want to nibble tenderly on his ear.
