Who should be Clem's guardian?
So before posting anything on this discussion, I would like that the Kenny & Luke fanbase would not be mean to each other. There's no need for fan wars here.
This idea came to my mind once I finished episode 3 of season 2 and after reading through a few comments on this forum. I would like to know who do you think should be Clementine's companion, who should be the main person by her side besides Lee and why?

I wanted this so badly. Clementine and a dog. I thought they would become like BFF and at the end there would be a super sad moment where you have to cut Sam's throat bc he is dying/suffering. It would be cute to see their relationship build and at the same time it would be emotionally tragic. ^_^
It is hard to say for now. Kenny had the spotlight in S2E3 and now much more people respects him. But I am sure that Luke will have his spotlight soon too. Only after this we can analyze both situations and decide.

Luke. I think he's one of the few things good left in this world, he's humane and sweet to Clementine even though you have the option to be an asshole to him. On the other hand, even if you AREN'T an asshole to Kenny, he's sometimes an asshole to you. He makes plans and doesn't think of the cons. For example, boat plan and "stroll through a herd of walkers" plan. Both end up terribly wrong. Don't get me wrong, I do love Kenny, but Luke's just more of a guardian in my opinion.

Lee's spirit is Clem's only Guardian
you know what? atm i dont even know how much luke cares about clem, sure he is nice and all that but kenny has proved it in hard times that he takes the beating and make sure clem is safe, I would though give luke benefit of doubt that he still hasnt got his chance. One more thing he asked me to get radio from carver and he probably knew consequences of it (he knew carver well), still i believe ep4 will be major outbreak of luke he hasnt done any worth noting thing for clem so far. I still like luke alot just hoping he gets major spotlight now.
So far Luke is the only one who gave Clem the benefit of the doubt and has made an effort to comfort and get close to her.. And i expect things from Luke in episode 4 and 5 so the choice wont be easy for me.
Well, Luke doesn't really know if Clementine actually had the radio or not, yeah, he asked her to get him one, but he didn't know if she did so.
I'm pretty sure that he'd take the beating if he knew, considering he's saved her before he even knew her name, and he also saved her from getting shot. I see where you're coming from though, I love Luke a lot, you can probably tell by my profile picture and all the comments I make about him, and I do agree that he needs to spotlight in episode 4 if they really are going to pull that Pizza VS Icecream, or Doug VS Carley decision.
EDIT: Even if Luke knew, he was still far apart from her and even on the ground, Kenny was right next to her. So, if Carver saw Luke get up and walk over to her, I'm pretty sure he'd suspect it's Clementine and hit her.
As I once said in the exact same type of discussion, Clementine should be the guardian of Clementine.
I'm not fucking kidding, this girl should finally be able to make her own decisions, those include her own protection.

It doesn't matter who from the group you think should be her guardian - like every other task in the group, Clem's gonna have to do it herself!
That wasn't sad, he had it coming for attacking Clem like that. Yes, he's been on his own, starving and shit, but if only he had been a few seconds more patient with her, she would have gave him more food., His impatience costed him his life, so he brought it on himself.

Looks weird. Lee putting his arms on her and all, she needs someone to look after her but it makes Lee look like a pedo.
Clem doesn't need a guardian as much as she needs a mentor; someone o help keep her head on straight.
Still, I think Luke or Bonnie would be a good choice. Kenny is one of my favorite characters, but I can't see him filling a mentor role.
Vince, that would be cool. I know Vince and Clem havent met but he looks like he would make a good guardian. Or a Lee look alike.
I personally believe that Christa or Bonnie should be her guardian, but there's already been tensions between Kenny and Luke, so I think they're the strongest candidates for being her guardian now. Imagine how crazy it will be if Telltale creates another Doug/Carley moment except Clem will have to choose either Kenny or Luke?

This picture is so sad. Lee promised to setup a little school lesson for Clem and teach her.
She's past the point of needing a "guardian" to look after her. What she needs, however, are people who are stable. So people like Jane and Kenny, I don't want around her.

I left the dog to die, because it reminded me of a dog that attacked me when i was six years old. Sounds weird to say as a dog lover but hey, life is tough in the Zombie Apocalypse. Technically it wasn't the dog's fault, dogs are pretty simple animals and once you understand their psychology the whole situation could have been avoided.
I don't have a problem with dogs, but every time I'm around one, I always get this strange feeling like it's going to suddenly snap and attack me. If that happens though, I'll be prepared at least. Or I'm just paranoid as fuck (Because I'm a very paranoid person).
Nate of course! I want to see him take care of Clementine. I don't think he is as evil as most people on these forums, i think he has a good side too and would protect Clementine. She would also protect him by providing him some emotional stability. They would both need each other for stability. It wouldn't be so once sided as it has been in the first two seasons.

Why wouldn't he? It isn't like he dropped a salt lick on some guys head he was in a group with, or didn't want to help you search for Clem unless you side with him on every choice in Season 1.

Clem is past the stage of needing a guardian, if she is given a guardian at this point then she will forever be trapped at this age. i want to see her grow up, not be another Gary Coleman
