The shadows in the Amid the Ruins slide - placeholders or something else??
So I brightened up this image because I was bored - okay, I know its been done a million times before, whatever, like I said I was bored - and then compared figures to who I thought was who; I figured it was interesting enough to post because it seems to me like the shadows in the Amid the Ruins slide are merely placeholders (besides Eddie) and will change when the episode comes out, just like the last slide did.
Placeholders is my guess because Doug and Carley are definitely there (in my opinion, at least) - but the other characters seem to hold a lot less significance, making me wonder if the whole thing is just full of placeholders or if they're not meant to represent actual characters at all.
One thing I thought of after the image - the person I identified as Hershel could perhaps be Omid, or Pete (bald) but I'm too lazy to try and line them up and check. I'm definitely leaning towards Pete, though. Though it being Pete might lend more to the 'ghosts of the past' theory that's been thrown around.

What are 'placeholders' exactly?
Placeholders are stuff like models that are used in place of something else before the game is released. Like how Troy came to the cabin door in 201's "next time on". He was a placeholder for Carver's model.

I don't think that's Vernon, but I do want to run into him this season or the next so that Clem sees him and tries to beat the living shit out of him for screwing the group over. I sort of liked Vernon, but it's just nice to see Clem blame the right people.

I can't understand the Vince one - why does he have long hair? In Episode 3 he had short hair. Did it just magically grow or what?
Remember he doesn't have to go to Carver's Camp. You probably find him like this if you keep him out in the wild.

I think Clementine is going to be having a lot of past memories and Season 1 is going to be referenced a lot. Doug and Carley look very likely to be in the shadows but I'm not sure about the other two
I read a very convincing theory a while ago that put forward the idea that Nate was a Save-Lots bandit. This is a stretch, but maybe that guy is Nate wearing a bandit mask and not just a placeholder.
