Episodic, it just fits the kind of story they are telling, for example cutting Sarita's arm wouldn't be half as exciting if we know what follow after so quickly, or some stories like S1E2 would feel inecesary.
I understand the pros of releasing a game in an episodic format (feedback from the community as it's being developed, receiving dosh as you develop the season, etc.). That being said, I think I've seen enough to become curious as to what Telltale can pull off without the pressures of their current 2-3 month releases, and without having to swap writers between each episode.
I'd be all for their next TWD/TWAU-style game to be developed altogether rather than in chunks; just for comparisons sake, if nothing else. Failing that, episodic with 2-3 episodes already mostly developed, as DomeWing333 said.
I like each episode being released at different times because it makes the game a whole lot more exciting and you get to talk and discuss about the most recent episode in the community and make predication, which are always fun. Telltale probably also likes it because the reactions help them plan future episodes.

Episodic. It makes playing wayyyy more exciting. (Even though it kinda sucks to wait, haha)
