Why do people want to name Rebecca's baby after...

Lee? Or Omid, or Christa or anyone? These people have no ties to Rebecca or her baby, I think it is silly that Rebecca would want her child named after what are essentially faceless names when she could use a more meaningful name, like her parents, or Alvin, or someone she knows at the very least. Or any old name really that she likes I suppose.

    In 202 Rebecca was asking Clem on her input on the baby's name/sex. That's probably what sparked people talking about it.

    It's simple. People love their references, and naming him Omid or Lee can be considered a nice touch. Like Powerful Stache said, people have been talking about it since episode 2, and considering we will deliver the baby in episode 4 we might as well pick the name for him too.

    I'm not sure why Rebecca would fully let us name her child. The only two options I can see are us saying a name and her finding it very appealing (which I'm not sure why she would name it a random name over a lost loved one but oh well). Or her not being around to name it...

    Even if Clem did have the option to name the kid, (or suggest a name) I'd say Alvin, since he's dead. I have a feeling it will be a girl though.

    Me neither.. it just seems like a way for players to have unrealistic expectations for what the kid will be like...

    And really, it's Rebecca's baby, we should only get the chance to name it if she is... no longer with us.

    I never really understood why people felt like they should be the one's to name the baby. You aren't giving birth, and I highly doubt that you are the father. Besides, if we were giving different names to call that baby, s/he would be dead quicker, because I doubt they'd want to record separate lines, just so the characters scan say the name of the baby.
