GoG offers Free Aventure Games

edited December 2008 in General Chat
Good Old Games, a(great!) service selling old games that are good for $5-10 DRM-free, is hoping to have people try out their service and see how it works.

This works out great for adventure gamers, because their two free offerings are of the point-and-click-'em-up variety!

I've never played Beneath a Steel Sky or Lure of the Temptress, but I know that I sure will!

Thanks for the heads up, I never played any other games from Revolution other than Broken Sword series.

Steel Sky has an insanely hokey starting cinematic. But soon after the actual game starts, there's a lot of charm and humor to it. I'm really enjoying it so far.

FYI, beneath a steel sky was already freeware'd by revolution through the scummvm site :)

I read that just a few minutes ago. Still, GOG wraps it up in a convenient installer and makes it work on XP and Vista out of the digital box. Plus, it comes with a manual. Sure, it's already freeware, but I think GOG has done a few great things with their service and this.

...also, I never heard of this game before. scummvm has only been known to me as a way to play LucasArts adventures. So yeah. Wider audiences are good.
