It's not a cliffhanger.

Why do people keep thinking this is going to lead into S2 somehow? I thought it was pretty open and shut.

The final scene is there to make the viewer think. Some might realise it then and there, others might be confused, others might just go to the Telltale forums and work it out after putting the pieces together.

here's not really a whole lot left that needs answering. If you let her walk away it seems a pretty simple enough ending. She goes on with her life, Bigby goes back inside to continue his job. The End.

Not that I'm saying Season 2 wouldn't be great.

  • Then why Cliff hanger it like that? Then why not say "THE END" Why? Because they're making a new season. It's pretty obvious.

  • Because the Fables story continues in the comics.

It's not a cliffhanger. It left a few pieces for people to figure out. It doesn't warrant a whole new season when 'Go After Her' probably just ends up with Bigby asking her a few questions.

Lets also not forget Back To The Future ended with a very clear cliff hanger and the expectation of future seasons that never came to fruition.

  • Yeah, the Fables story continues in the comics like many years after the game. We need to find out what happens to the new characters that aren't in the comic book:

    Grendel

    Woodsman

    Holly

    Faith or Nerissa?

    Lawrence (determinant)

    Jersey

    Dee and Dum (Dum determinant)

Ichabod Crane (I think they mention him in the comics, i remember someone saying that somewhere on here.)

    Hans

    Cryer

    Tiny Tim

    Auntie Greenleaf

I think they're making a second one. They're too many questions that need to be answered.

  • To me, the ending itself screamed cliffhanger at the tip of its lungs at me. Much more so then, say, TWD's did. I feel there is still a lot of mystery left around the character of Faith we can, and have yet to explore. Besides, as WalkingDeadFan1911 said, the comic take place around twenty years or so after the game, so there is still a lot of room to explore the current story and characters.

To be fair, if it is only going to be this series then it is a nice ending to finish with, gives everyone something to talk about and create theories around. As I said though, I much more suspect that it was intended as a cliffhanger for a possible S2. We will just have to wait and see...

  • Isn't it the other way around? :)
