I think I figured out the ending... (Faith's bruises)
Please don’t kill me if I’m wrong…
So if you haven’t heard, one of the prevailing theories right now is that Faith was dead before the game even began. Narissa disguised herself as Faith and made a commotion with Woody to attract Bigby’s attention and make him care about the murder victim, as well as gauge his ability and trustworthiness. Once she was sure she could trust Bigby to investigate the murder, she planted Faith’s head for him to find.
Now, the biggest problem with this theory is that the real Faith’s head apparently has the same bruises from Woody’s beating.
However, it’s entirely possible the real Faith had those bruises before she was murdered, which would explain why the head was bruised. If Narissa took Faith’s hair (I’m assuming that’s how the glamour worked) after her death, we can assume that her Faith disguise would retain those same bruises.
Basically, I’m just guessing the bruises found on both the head and “Faith” weren’t from Woody. The real Faith had the bruises pre-murder, and so Narissa’s disguise would also have bruises.
Anyways, this is just a theory. Feel free to point out if anything doesn’t add up.
EDIT: Almost forgot. A quick question to any medical experts out there. How long does it usually take for a bruise to form? I've read that it can take anywhere from under and hour to a few days, but I'm not sure if this info is correct. This would further support this theory because I find it hard to believe Woody was beating on Faith for a full hour before Bigby showed. Remember, Toad called Bigby over because Woody was trashing the place (throwing a TV out the window, for example), and didn't even realize anyone else was with him. Faith also says that "...he started beating on me. Then you showed up" suggesting there wasn't a huge time gap between the two events.

It's entirely possible that either Nerissa disguised herself as Faith, or Faith disguised herself as Nerissa. Right now, have no clear indication which. There are many unanswered questions.
Yeah, I guess either theory is possible. However, the theory that it was Faith the whole time has a lot more holes in it (Why does she leave Lawrence if he survived? Why wouldn't she tell Bigby she was actually Faith at the end? etc.).
This sounds very plausible compared to "Faith was alive the whole time". I only question why the quote "Swineheart wanted to run some tests" was emphasized. Of course they could've done that TO make us question it. Either way, excellent theory!
Thanks, but the only thing I theorized was where the bruises came from! The whole "Faith was dead before the game" thing was already a popular explanation.
And I honestly have no idea what was up with the Swineheart quote either...
Well not to be blunt but sayinf that faith had bruises you ruined my game...it's like you wanted to say that she lives...
I'm still not buying it. The game doesn't care all that much to show bruises in such a realistic way, as to wait for them to form. Their focus is on being graphic. You get to see them appear right as people get hit, like Woody in the first fight, Dee in the interrogation, Crane if you slap him and/or break his nose, and pretty much Bigby in every fight. That said I'm sure the girl being beaten, be her Faith or Nerissa, was really messed up by Woody. She showed up to hook up with a client, she had to be presentable (if she had bruises she would at the very least try to cover it with make up), she got mad when she check herself at her mirror ("Shit"...), and most evidently if you remember she spits blood at Woddy's face during the fight (amazing scene if you ask me).
I still think that either the head had to be of the girl we met, or production overlooked it when they made the severed head model, or the later rewriting of the story got the better of this scene, leaving this plothole.
I'm calling the plothole.
It might be helpful to know that the donkeyskin coat was left behind and so Faith's ability to "be invisible while being seen" was not active, so to speak, so it was her in episode one, and then at the end of episode 5, if Bigby gives her a cigarette, she holds it in the very same manner as when you first see her. As for Swineheart's test, I think the problem was that he was just trying to figure out how the 'magical cut' worked, as it seems to only release a little blood and not fully drain either the head or the body when the ribbon comes off.
So, the bruises were Faith's, but Nerissa could have been glamoured as Faith around the same time, so upon seeing each other, they could have used their makeup to duplicate the damage. Also, if you check the whiteboard as seen in the butcher shop, Nerissa's glamour (H/J/DD) is one ingredient away from Faith's (J/DD) and Lily's (DD/J/Z), so if they had to make their own glamours or others, it wouldn't have been impossible for them to make their own without anyone else knowing and go around as each other like they were in some Brian de Palma film.
Yet in The Walking Dead if you get Clementine hit in the face and later on she has to cover it with walker ahem stuff she does not cover the cheek that is sore. If TTG thought about that I don't think they could make more obvious mistakes
Another theory could be that Faith was already dead with bruises, and Nerissa (disguised as Faith) purposely got roughed up by Woody to have similar injuries.
A possible reason for Dr Swineheart could be that the time of death proved that he met Faith after her death.
She spits blood because he just slapped her
Or maybe he found out that faiths head was glamoured. To backup this, remember when we found snows "head"?It could've been foreshadowing.
