Bad episode.

I'm sorry, I really like the characters and the setting, but this was a terrible episode.

The "negotiation" at the beginning is just dumb and feel shoehorned. And why are they talking in the first place? Bigby should have stormed the place like a fucking hurricane.
The revelation it was Georgie came out of the blue... not a single clue in the game pointed to that... felt like a "Hey, let's just choose a random perpetrator!". Same as the story with Vivian. She has no backstory, came almost out of nowhere and acts completely random.
Bloody Mary hitting him in the factory and Bigby not doing anything else but talk and letting the crooked man go it's so stupid I have no words. Bigby looks like a wimp, and it's something that clashes with what we read in the comics. It gets better in the "wolf scene", but still feels wrong and that scene feels very static. Also, why she didn't use a gun with a silver bullet? Every fabletown resident fears Bigby, and for a reason. She really thought she could take him 1 on 1?
In general, they talk a lot and it always makes no real sense, feel stupid, out of touch with what's happening and way exaggerated, like they're pathetically trying to forcibly up the tension.
Nerissa's explanation at the end feels artificial, like the writers are desperately trying to cover up the holes in the plot. The revelation is also completely useless to the plot.
The chase scene is the only thing that's pretty good, I enjoyed that (And I'm not big on action scenes).
Playing this episode it's like watching something completely different from the rest of the story. It's really bad storytelling.

And it's a shame, because the first episode was so unbelievably good.

Felt like they were trying to go for a "WOW MY MIND IS BLOWN PLOT TWIST 10/10 GOTY 2013 AND 2014"

  • Apparently games aren't allowed to have plot twists.
