Telltale hasn't done that yet, and I don't really see them picking up the habit. Creepy, subtle abuse like the situation with Crane/Lily/Sno

  • They're a creative bunch. There's a lot of fucked up things you can still accomplish at this point without falling back on something like that.

Given the current situation, I can think up a few scenarios off the top of my head right now that don't involve rape. And I'm not even a professional writer yet.

I have faith that Telltale's going to shock us in ways we don't expect, just like they've been doing all along through the series.

It's most likely something to do with Rebecca giving birth, nothing more. For example, there was a pole dance in TWAU and the rating looked like this .

  • Agreed, in my opinion its just not necessary. People play games to escape their problems, i think the subject of rape/child molestation would be just too close to home for some people.

It's not going to be rape. Rape isn't consider "mild impact sex". It's creepy that people keep suggesting this.

More dick shooting? Damn it, Jane!

  • The ultimate villain this season is quagmire lol

With Quagmire included not even Clementine will be safe. He's immune to pepper spray, can take a beating and is a rapist (even had sex with a minor). That's high impact sexuality.

  • It could be implied. Simply putting in a single suggestive hint can widen the idea pool. Remember the whole Tomb Raider debacle foaming up around the latest installment in the series? Turned out he just wanted to kill her(game over death). I know, right?

  • Well... yeah. Rape was implied in 400 Days too, with Danny. That's not what this person was talking about. They meant an actual scene.

I don't follow the Tomb Raider series so I don't really know what you mean, sorry.

  • Yes, thank you. I'm glad someone agrees here. Telltale explores a lot of very real subjects in their writing through the use of a very fantastical setting, which I admire greatly, but I think they're aware that resorting to a situation like that would be crossing the line in the worst way possible.

And like you said before, it's simply too low a rating for us to even humor the thought. It's the same rating that 400 Days got so it's not going to extend much beyond the content we saw in that.

You really don't know that, though. Neither of them has ever sat down and said, "Hey guess what I'm exclusively attracted to women", so... they're not really anything until you get some sort of confirmation or romantic inclination in canon. Though I believe Luke makes a comment about flirting with girls, so at the very least he could be bisexual. But Nick could easily be gay.

To me, it seems a bit like a drastic move if Telltale actually did have Nick/Luke confess their love. Either way, I'd still ship it.

  • If you don't respond to him during a dialogue option when he's carrying you after you first meet him and Pete, he says something along the lines of, "It's okay, I'm used to girls ignoring me when I try to talk to them." I don't recall the exact quote.

  • Depends on how it's done, I suppose. It seems uncharacteristic of both Telltale and the characters themselves to get down on one knee and start serenading the other. If they chose to go down that path it wouldn't be a big spectacle. Hopefully not as subtle as Walter and Matthew, though... >__>
