The Sinister, Selfish Nerissa... [EP5 Ending Theory]
After pondering about the "twist" ending, I think I figured something out.
Considering the following:
- The Crooked Man's insistence to not ordering the murders and having nothing to do with it. Suggesting a "conspiracy" against him.
- The Crooked Man's only crimes being exploiting Fabletown's citizens for profit.
- Georgie's assumption that when The Crooked Man told him to "take care of it", he meant "kill them", and did it out of fear for himself and Vivian.
- Nerissa's confession to Bigby of how she guided the investigation along and how she lied about hearing a murder order.
Could it be that Nerissa purposely got Faith and Lily killed by telling Georgie their plan so she could orchestrate a chain of events that would eventually lead to her own freedom? She knew there was no getting out unless drastic measures were to be taken, so after provoking the murders, she appeared glamoured as Faith in EP1 to manipulate Bigby's feelings in hopes that he would eventually take everyone down while somehow getting Vivian killed.
She does seem to value her loner status, after all.

Holy Shit... pretty dark and twisted.
My problem with this is how would Nerissa know Bigby would do anything about it? Everybody thinks Bigby is bad. It's only when Faith meets Bigby for the first time at the Woodsman's apartment that she knows he is not as bad as everyone says. Also it was Toad that called Bigby. How could she know Toad would call the Sheriff? Also she would have to successfully provoke the Woodsman for this plan to work.
And Nerissa couldn't have provoked any murders yet because Lily wasn't dead at the time Faith met Bigby. Crane met Lily glamoured as Snow White the next night in room 207.
