To answer your question, it sounds like he's suggesting we consider something that doesn't have Kenny's best interests at heart. Luke defini… moretely wouldn't up and kill Kenny, but abandoning him could be in his plans. That would be incredibly heartless though, and I doubt Luke would suggest that. Unless Kenny just decides to sit down and never get up again....
I found this line about surviving and choosing sides very odd coming from Luke. After all, Luke was the one to remind Clem of the importance of family. "I just wanna survive" is a somewhat selfish thing to say, just like "Maybe I'm playing Devil's advocate...we should leave some people behind...." Not to mention, "I just wanna survive" is a lot less optimistic than Luke's usual lines. Perhaps things have just gotten a lot more dire, and they're having this conversation after more character deaths (Sarita, Rebecca, the baby even?). Or maybe Nick's (determinant) death has finally hit Luk… [view original content]
We don't know the full story yet, since we haven't seen all that happens leading up to that before Luke says it. There might very well be a divide forming in the group, or some bad stuff stirring between Luke and Kenny [Jane hints of the group cracking and falling apart so it's possible.] But Luke does care about the group he escaped with before, he must have if we decided to go all that way to try break them out from Carver's camp. He failed yes, but he still tried and that's something to think about.
So, I'm not gonna jump to conclusions on that until I play the episode. But i am worried about Kenny, it really sounds like he wants to die
I feel I should point out that I'm also against leaving Kenny behind. However, that might change depending on what's gonna happen next. I assume one of the main things that will be done in this episode is to develop and shape both Luke and Kenny's characters in order to prepare the players for that "pizza or ice cream" choice that has been so discussed recently. Leaving you to decide which of them is best suited to accompany Clementine in the long run.
As of right now, I think we can safely say that Luke is much more "stable" than Kenny.
You are certainly entitled to your own opinions, I will give you that.
But would you kindly stop bashing on Luke's character repeatedly? You can simply say you dislike him, that's fine, but calling him an "insect" and saying he "should die" is uncalled for and rude to people who like his character. You don't need to put down one character in order to prop another higher.
When Luke said that I was somewhat shocked, but not completely. He suggested that in E3, but he's also the group member that everyone sees as the humanitarian.
Easy choice, I pick Luke
Kenny is too ruthless.
his plans mostly fail.
His actions led to Walter's death
Kenny tried shooting Ca… morerver and his crew in "A house divided" which resulted to Walter's death and could even get Alvin killed.
He decided to stay behind and torture Carver instead of leaving.
This is a no brainer, Luke is a better person in almost everyway
I look over some of the comments on the forum, especially the ones involving Luke and I can't help but laugh. People go to extreme lengths t… moreo bash Luke's character and give little to no reason as to why they do so. The word "coward" is very often used to describe his character mainly because of his little vanishing act, one to which we don't know the full context. Still, I say he makes up for it when he decides to follow the group back to the camp risking his life in the process when he could have easily choose to walk away.
About what he says in the trailer, I think he points out the fact that Kenny is a time bomb and he would rather not be around him when he explodes....rightfully so if you ask me. I guess we'll just have to wait and see, since I don't think a choice between Kenny and Luke will happen in this episode.
EP2: I think one could argue that Luke went out to go find Nick and Pete much more than for Clementine. I don't think she was a priority and I'm not 100% sure he would have gone out to look for her if it was just Clem who got lost.
EP3: Again, I don't think that he would have gone so far if it were just Clem. The rest of his group was with Carver and I really think that's the reason why he went after them.
I just feel a little bit uncomfortable with how easily he volunteers Clem to do all of the dangerous jobs. I REALLY like Luke though and I love the relationship between him and Clem and I think that eventually they would become best friends. This will be one of the most difficult decisions in my life.
How is Luke not "dedicated" to protecting Clem?"
EP1: He saved her from the walkers when they first met and defended her when Nick, Rebec… moreca and Carlos put her in the shed.
EP2: He goes looking for her when she, Nick and Pete go missing for a day. He shields her during the confrontation between Nick and Matthew.
EP3: He crosses a whole state to get back to her and the rest of the group when they get taken by Carver
Luke and the others have done plenty for Clem, it's obvious that he (and the others) care for her too. It's not just Kenny.
How is Luke a coward? He tracked Carver's group for MILES after they took everyone else captive. And he infiltrated the camp without being spotted. Luke is many things, but a coward he is not.
Comments
Maybe we get a dialogue option to remind Luke about the family line, to change his mind.
That's what I'm hoping for too.

Period.
Nah. I don't think so.
No.. he's not being a bitch.
I never asked you to agree. It's called opinion for a reason, then people call Kenny fans irrational.

I'm not trying to change your opinion. I'm just simply stating that your opinion is based off of your obsession with Kenny.
And may think about taking Bonnie with us. :P

Forget this super awesome comment.
The moment survival becomes your first and only objective, that's the time to worry.

I don't wanna sound like a dick, but I think Kenny's run his course.
He should be at peace with his actual wife and actual child. He's an old bugger, and it's time to just... rest.
