Did Episode 4 turn out to be good in your opinion?
So far, people seem to have been kind of put off by episode 4 from what I've seen at least. I haven't gotten the chance to actually play it but I have seen some major scenes and they seem to be.... meh? If you have played/watched the episode, what did you all think? Did you enjoy it and consider it a good buildup to the finale or did you find it not to be as good as you had hoped?

Meh. Not the best thing I've ever seen, lots of flaws, but the ending was pretty fucking epic.
Meh...
It was very good 9/10
It is fun but the things you suspected are not gonna happen or hoped for.
People expect that Lily is going back but we all get 4 death's
TOTAL CRAP
Im not trying to sound like..."that" guy....but episode 4 was, honestly, EXTREMELY disappointing. I have enjoyed every episode immensely of season 2-including episode 3-but episode four felt sloppy, rushed, phoned in and was undoubtedly the most shallow of all episodes. Very disappointing. I would ask for my money back if I could...only for this episode tho...not the other ones. Mediocre at best.
I'm guessing you're mad about Sarah's death, huh?
I enjoyed it.

Telltale rarely does great 4th episodes lol
wolf among us 4th episode got weak reception and even the 4th episode of walking dead season 1 ended up being rated one of the lowest of the season
in my opinion i think Amid The Ruins was one of the strongest 4th episodes they have ever made because it set up the finale really well and gave the season a lot of momentum heading into episode 5
Hmmm.. 8/10. Not the best, not the baddest.
People dislike it because of muh Eddie and muh Nick. I actually really liked it. Completely changed my opinion about Jane, who isn't that much of an edgy lone wolf after all, and her lessons were entertaining. I can also say the same about Luke, who screwed up so bad I don't know which side to take anymore. If I hadn't already seen the leaked choices (intentionally), this episode would've probably beat episode 2, imo. That ending, man.
I think the low reception for fourth episodes is because, they're just build-up.
The fifth is the pay off, but having an episode of nothing but build up isn't very good.
I liked Episode 4. Jane got some character development and the free roaming parts was reminiscent of Season 1. Although, I thought the whole idea of native Russian bandits being in the game was weird.
i agree with you and that is why i liked Amid The Ruins more the other 4th episodes because it wasn't just all build-up for the 5th episode
major event played out in this episode and it ended with probably one of telltales best cliffhangers lol
It was good. Sure, it wasn't the best, but it was good.
If they are in Virginia, they could have come from the DC Metro Area. I live in this area so that's how I know.
I think the episode was perfect and had the perhaps best cliffhanger yet, you know shits going down in the opening of episode 5. As it has been said already in the thread, its a penultimate episode, its building up to an amazing finish.
it was ok not good......heres why
Nick dies
Sarah dies
Rebecca dies
Sarita dies.
No eddie in it and nothing about christa since we still dont know what her status is. and this episode is very short aswell. but...you know what im very excited for? the wait.....for No Going Back yup
THE ONLY THING THAT HIT MY MIND.....................WHERE THE FUCK IS EDDIE!!
Do you still get robbed even if you dont rob arvo
Yup.
Well isn't that nice
Well i disagree with most people and say i found this episode the best out of all episodes, season 1 and 2. There was just the correct amount of build up and I liked how the episode revolved around Jane and her teachings, possibly forshadowing the end of the season where clem may have to make the choice of going alone or staying with any group members who live. Also, maybe i am the only one but i kind of like how they killed off alot of characters this episode, representing the shit hitting the fan.
He even still says you robbed him.
Well thats even better a grown man can't tell the diffrence between robbery and returning items
Least favorite thus far. Darkest one yet, which I can't say helped matters.
Focused a bit too much on Jane, and I still don't care for her. Luke's reckless decision to fuck her really pissed me off. The fact that you can't save Sarah no matter what is infuriating. I pretty much knew Nick and Rebecca were going to die, but it was still upsetting for both of them, especially since Rebecca was holding her son. Relieved that at least Kenny didn't go, but the way he flat-out he blames you for Sarita's death... At least the baby seems to be keeping him optimistic for now.
I loved this episode it felt alot better than most Episode fours. I do have to say though the saving Sarah just to have her die was complete bullshit, I also hate how they pranced over Nick's death although I did call it in a prior thread post. I was fine with Sarita's death, but Kenny's reaction killed me. Rebecca's death was surprising and crushing since I just started to like her. This episode was build up, but I am glad it mostly felt like a resolution to the initial build up of Carver.
Its my favorite episode this season thus far.
He mentions how you helped him, but he still says you robbed him. Though Rebecca's death caught me off guard.
Nick breckon writes good ones he writed 1 and 2 and those two where outstanding
All that Remains = 10/10
A House Divided = 10/10
In Harm's Way = 9/10
Amid The Ruins = 7/10
No Going Back = I Predict 10/10 because Nick Breckon will write it
I understand Rebecca's death because you can tell she was weak and kept falling down andshe was silent the whole robbery and you can hear walker groaning from her but arvo well he needs to get a map cause he cant tell from right or wrong.
i donot know telltale read these comments or not,
but i have a question.
in this game, i am running from any one ,without any plan
with out any reason, with many question, that after 9 episode,we have not any idea about that.
what is happening in this area, why someone is going to be zombie, and some is not
what is happening?
tell about the reason and telling telltale about that, are we going to help people or not?
I really feel this is setting up a way to kill many of the characters next episode. I personally feel with the extreme characterization they gave Mike that they're going to kill him.
Nick! T_T
I just hope they finally show christa and tell what happened to her baby and if the game ends i hope that it still Clementine who continues on season 3 if they make one but if its Rebecca's baby who is all grown up and the main character of the stroy im fine either as long as theirs something that makes me want to yell at my tv.
It would be nice, but I think when they time jump it's in correlation with the comics. I think next time jump would be Rick and gang getting to DC.
Yeah that would be nice too but as long as their games like the walking dead or the wolf among us.
Well, R.I.P Sarah, Rebecca & Sarita. And if you curious about that russian guy Arvo if you rob him or dont rob him, they will attack you in the end. F*ckin Russians.
Yes.
