Well are the bullets even for a gun that they already have? I mean, for the sake of the plot, they might just conveniently make so that the bullets are useful.

When you are searching the walkers with Jane you can find two bullets on one of the walkers.
When you are at the observation deck and have to shoot the walkers, you can save the last walker and the rest of the crew will keep shooting on forever with unlimited ammo and without reloading. So the bullets i think won't have much play in episode 5.
