Clementine's story should end with Episode 5

  • I'd still play as Clem, as a teen or grown up.

And yes, hell yeah for season 3. I'd love the walking dead games to have loads of seasons in a nice pretty box set.

  • Me to i honestly think this season is better than the first one dont see why the next season wont be even better tbh if they make one which they prob will its not stale at all to me besides 2 seasons aint much and there coming to xbone and ps3 why do that if they havent even taught about doing season 3 we will prob have to wait longer than the wait between seasons 1&2 for season 3 as telltale will be doing borderland and game of thrones but i say clem will be back prob only on nxt gen consoles but

  • No, Jane. Clementine had an effect on Jane and she'd be a great new protagonist who lives differently than anybody we already know.

    Ummm Rebecca's son....?

  • Well, that's the point. I doubt there's going to be a Season 3. There probably shouldn't be either. Wellington has been billed as the stereotypical safe haven in the North where it's too cold for zombies to survive. Once they get there, the game is over. Bittersweet ending. What else could they do? Not reach Wellington for another season?

  • Besides walking dead games are popular. I have seen it advertised everywhere. It has made telltale a lot of money...why would they stop?

I don't know how I feel about the main character dying every Season in the game series.

It would make most decisions made in Season 2 and Season 1 rather useless.

  • People are childish. You just gotta ignore them bro. :(

They probably are rushing the series to be over judging on how they killed all characters, or will milk the shit out of the series with the baby.

If it does end with the baby, clementine will probably die and then the player will probably end up playing as the baby or some shit. Knowing telltale, they're unoriginal.

  • That's true and would be a good idea but Jane left the group. If the group is still alive after episode 5, I'm sure I'm speaking for allot of fans when I say we'll be too worried about Clem, possibly the baby, Kenny, and whoever else survives to even care about Janes story. But it's not a bad idea. Maybe even in Janes story at least 3 more 400 days characters will be relevant.

  • The season will end with someone in a car driving nearby Clem and whoever survived. They're going to do hitchhiking and the season is probably going to end with Clem looking shocked at the person driving or it ends with the person driving revealed, which will shock both Clem and the player. I will go with option 1 because it would be a better cliffhanger. Pretty much confirms Season 3 for me.

  • I could play Clementine well into her adult life because she still very much feels like the heart of the video game franchise. Another season that documents her life adds to the sweeping effect of her story. Even if she isn't the protagonist for Season 3, I'd still like her to be included.

  • Not only that but we just saw one child, possibly two, die in episode 4. I know longlivelee said maybe they won't end her story that way but how else are they supposed to end it? They're not going to just end it with her surviving happly ever after. That's not something telltale would do......is it?

Well, you can't blame a lot of people to be clingy to Clem. You have seen her grow up in this world since it all started and want to be with her until it ends.

  • I disagree with the idea that there's nothing left to do with her character, but I do want her story to end with episode 5.

  • xD 400 days. Yeah we might see the ones that decided not to join Carvers group. For me that was the asian guy, russel, shel, and her sister. There's also Eddie, who alot of people assumed would be in episode 4.

  • Wow this is a horrible comment but the 360-noscope had me laughing. xD

Clementine's story ends at Ep.4, she gets 360-noscoped by a Russian who then T-bags her body, eats Doritos and drinks Mountain Dew while sitting on Luke's body.

  • they could make you play as a new character who meets clem in the end?

  • Well after reading all these comments (some of them were just like your opinion is shit) but others did
explain in detail why Clem shouldn't die and after thinking it over I think I agree with you guys
IF there is another season it should be with Clem but I'm not sure there will be any
    What do you think?

That´s what i was saying but you say that they meet at the end I would like that in the episode 5 you see Clementine with a group in a safe pleace and then in season 3 you take control of a new character that helps Clem in the season 3 i dont now if anyone agree but for me that would be good.

It honestly doesn't seem like it. Telltale is trying to deal with too many projects at once. Plus each new twd episode they make seems to make fans madder and madder. I do feel that after this season they might drop the series which, in my opinion would be extremely stupid. I can't imagine the a how many fans they might possibly lose. If they continue the series then the next season would have to either be about Clem or atleast involve Clem. The game in my opinion is just like the show. They don't just go to an entirely different that has nothing to do with the main protagonist.

  • Omg what if Clem like dies at the end of episode 5 so they can create a new story for season 3

If they were to use a different protaginst they should keep Clem's fate open. Thoughts should cross our mind such as "Hm, I wonder what Clem is doing right now".

  • It doesn't have to end. Telltale could do a different protagonist for season 3 but they can't ditch Clementine

  • I agree with that 100%.

  • I really would like a fresh perspective IF there ever is a season 3 of The Walking Dead game. I loved Clementine as a character in season 1 and even more as the protagonist of this season. However, with that being said, I just don't see how from a narrative perspective it'd make since for her to be dragged throughout another season just for "fan service."

Her development arc seems to be coming to a close, she's battered and a lot more pessimistic now. And that's not just my personal choice reflections, that's the presented choices and writing. No longer does Clem say things like "look Lee, I found stickers for my walkie!" Her reactions to situations are more emphatic and bold. Where could they go with her character? Would she just be another "badass survival chick with a cynical attitude and a heart of gold?" Because if that's the direction they're taking this then I think I'll be done after episode 5.

  • I don't think they would do that. The story, achievements and the choices you made are centerd around her. If Clem dies then this season would honestly not have an effect on the next.

  • If Clementine dies in Season 2, then most of Season 1 and 2 won't have a great affect on Season 3 or future DLCs.
