About Luke's character
People are saying that Luke acted out of character in episode 4, which I have to disagree with. Him apparently wanting to ditch this zombie infested world for a second is "out of character". If you notice throughout the season so far Telltale practically told us he is a flake. "That guy's a fucking flake, I knew it the second I saw him."-Kenny, notice after the trailer park scene he tells you he feels bad about basically abandoning ship so soon on Sarah. Granted he did apologize after it but it's the fact that his first reaction in a fight or flight situation he chooses flight. Even when he first meets you he immediately drops you when he sees the dog bite. When Carver's group shows up for the first time he bails on you guys. That isn't irredeemable it just shows he chooses to run rather than stay with friends. So I'm not shocked when I found out he would rather have sex then do his job.

We don't know the whole context. For all we know, Kenny could have bailed on him. Luke and Pete were the only ones who opposed the group regarding Clementine.
This, like his "vanishing" act, for me felt like a cheap way to make some players look down on him. And what if he decided to release some steam? Are you telling me people wouldn't have done the same thing? It's not like the deck was surrounded by walkers..
So Kenny bailed on Luke to go help the group?
In the end he does do the right thing, like he does go to Carver's camp, BUT only after bailing on the group.
No I wouldn't, I was told to watch the perimeter I would of done that, and it does seem like a cheap way to make people dislike him, but it still fits his character.
Because fighting would not work. Carver had like, what.. at least three other people with him? They all would have shot Luke immediately or captured him. It's better to have someone working from the outside. If he was a flake, he would have ditched the group and never looked back. He didn't want to get himself hurt so he hid, followed the group, and helped them escape.
It's a zombie apocalypse. Luke and the others have experienced first hand what happens when someone gets a bite on their arm. He dropped her because he was startled, afraid, and was unsure of how to proceed. I would be scared too if I was about to lead someone back to my camp who could potentially kill them all. He also didn't see any dog around, so you can't really blame him for being paranoid.
Yeah, that was pretty dumb. I like that they're showing him break a bit, to show that everyone's dealing with stress and they're handling it differently. Luke seems like the type of person to bottle up his feelings, to not look weak in front of the people he's leading, so I guess he gave in at the worst possible time.
Ah this is just telltale like I said preparing to kill him off.
He won't stay for long, I bet he'll die in the next episode.
It seems your only gripe with Luke is the fact that he would rather choose to walk away, rather than stand up and fight, especially back when Carver takes the group hostage. However, it still doesn't change the fact that we don't know the whole context. Even at the table it was obvious that Luke and Kenny have some differences. They were separated from the group a good couple of minutes before Carver showed up, who's to say they didn't get separated by then? Maybe they got into an argument?
And even if Luke did actually saw what happened, what could he have done? Storm the ski lodge while Carver has the whole group hostage? He would've most like got shot before he can could even do anything.
I do prefer Kenny, I don't hate Luke though he did do the smart thing when he saw the group had already been captured, but he didn't know that at first, if he was there he might of been able to get Carver at a different angle, but that's just a "What-if". Kenny does say though that he abandoned them in episode 3 but that could been Luke saying they should wait until they had an opening to save them.
