I think Mike....
...has a thing for Bonnie. If you choose to not crawl through the gap museum, Bonnie will try reaching the doorknob through it instead. When the walker grabs her, she bangs her head and gets a black eye. When Clementine mentions this, she'll say something along the lines of "My face isn't my prettiest part anyway" to which Mike will respond "Ah, that's not true." Also, when returning to the others, Bonnie will ask Mike he isn't getting tired carrying both water kegs and he'll say "Nope, I could do this all day", obviously showing off and trying to impress her. Those were kinda cute moments IMO, I hope we'll get to see a bit of Mike x Bonnie in EP5.

And Mike is really cool, think he's somewhat an underrated character around here with people mainly talking about Jane. He's pretty funny also. His "Eat the shit out of a raccoon" line was my favourite in the episode.
I would have chosen Rebecca over Luke and Kenny too. Remember, both Luke and Kenny leave Clem alone in the herd. Rebecca was the one that reached out to her.
They reminded me of Christa and Omid. The museum scene made me think what Season 2 would be like if Omid and Christa were still with Clem.

I can already imagine how season 3 will go. It's revealed that Bonnie and Mike survived season 2 and has been looking after Clem and the baby. One of them is then immediately killed in the first ten minutes.

It's clear that some people need to die and it seems Telltale does not want to get rid of Kenny and Luke...so that leaves Mike and Bonnie to do the part
