I pretty much hate Luke at this point (hear me out)

edited July 2014 in The Walking Dead

I know that the apocalypse is a horrible and dark place and that human needs are human needs but there are some people who survive just fine without getting laid. Let me get this straight, Luke...you decided that just because Jane offers to screw you that now is the best time? Rebecca is going to give birth at any minute and your mind is completely on getting laid. Hell, as horrible of a person as you're displaying to be I bet you brought up Nick's death to get a pity fuck out of Jane. Kenny did some questionable things this episode but I'll be damned if I'm not still on his side. Luke is a piece of shit. Plain and simple. He bitches about Kenny's priorities and safety with the group but what about what you did Luke? Yeah I know guys, preach...Lol. Rant over...Let me know your thoughts.

  • I hate both Luke and Jane now. Jane fucked luke, takes off , and now she's got the group in trouble because she stole shit??? lil sluts

  • I was mad I couldn't insult Jane. They tried to play the whole Molly card thing but I hate Jane. She's a sociopathic bitch and quite frankly, I would've kicked her out of the group anyway. I took every opportunity to insult Luke after what he did. God he was stupid.

I was really disappointed in Luke this episode, but they did this on purpose so the choice between him and Kenny wouldn't be so easy. Luke fans would get upset at their favourite, Kenny fans would get angry that their favourite yelled and blamed Clementine, and the ones who are stuck between them have no idea who to choose (assuming it's just between those two).

I think next episode we'll get a good moment for both of them so it's even harder to pick.

Luke screwed up big time, and I'm annoyed, but I don't hate him for it. He's not a bad guy, but clearly he bottles up his emotions. That "always moving" mechanism is not working for him anymore, and the stress is finally catching up to him. He chose a piss poor moment to take his mind off how horrible the world is, but I still really like him.

  • I was upset with Kenny when he yelled at Clem but in my playthru I didn't cut her arm off so Ken was okay. And when he did yell at her, I feel he was just lashing out and hurt. He changed his tune later and compared to what Luke did, Kenny is completely fine. If my Lee was living, he would've tossed Luke's ass out of the group. I'm pretty dead set on whose side I'm on. I'm Kenny's for sure. Luke's mistake was way too big and he hasn't done anything that is particularly productive to help the group. The hell with him. At least Kenny's trying.

Not to say that you're wrong for liking him. I hope you understand why I don't.

  • He's a guy, maybe he was just a little turned on and couldn't help himself. Doesn't everybody feel like that occasionally or get those urges?

  • Luke just lost his boyfriend Nick, so no wonder he wanted a piece of badass Jane. It was the only think making Luke forget what happened to Nick

  • If I were Luke and my friend Rebecca was in labor and I needed to find a secure place for the baby, I wouldn't be thinking about getting laid. I'm sorry but that just wouldn't be the time. He was completely wrong.

  • Oh, I understand. I don't expect everyone to like Luke, it's fine if they don't.

But from what I've seen, a lot of people are pissed at both of them. We're seeing the downsides of both of these potential leaders after seeing the good, so I think this is their way of setting up the final choice between them.

  • Luke could've just waited 'til everyone was asleep and jacked off.

  • I kind of want an option to just leave Luke and Kenny, and go be a happy family with Bonnie and Mike and the baby...

  • I hate how Jane the whole time is like"don't trust the group" then does that to Luke. I kinda lost all my building respect for her. Luke is the most frustrating character ever, because he is a good guy, he really is. But his fuck ups put him in a bad situation, and I am confused about if I should still like him or not.

It wasn't the best time to do what they were doing, and Luke just got angry at Kenny. Man, i agreed with Kenny at that moment, so i told Luke to shut up. I don't really like Luke. Jane left for her own safety.

  • Trust me...you don't forget...

  • I'll say this...Clementine would be a better damn leader than the both of them haha. God I miss Lee.......

  • If the whole "Pizza or Ice-cream" decision in Episode 5 turns out to be Kenny or Luke, then they've made it much harder for me. I've always disliked Kenny since season 1 and he did himself no favours throughout the entire Episode. On the other hand, while I did like Luke before, I've lost a lot of respect for him after neglecting his duties just to snuggle up with Jane. I'd love to tell them both to go screw themselves and just go off with Bonnie and Mike.

  • Clem really is better off without the group.

They always cause trouble but have no problem to send Clem to fix it, everytime.
I often feel like Clem is the only one who gets something done in that group...

  • Despite what Luke says, Luke was more of a detriment to the group in Episode 4 than Kenny was and Kenny has lost way more than Luke. I hope that might help your decision if you're making the choice for the group.

So many characters showed their true colors this episode. Kenny is at his worst - yes, he has been through hell but so has everyone else. Blaming an 11 year old girl is a new low. I don't hate Kenny but Clem needs to move on without him.

Luke showed that, like Nick, he has moments of terrible judgement that can put the group in danger. There's nothing wrong with having those urges, they are natural, but it was neither the time nor the place.

Jane showed that she's a hypocrite, pooh-poohing Rebecca's pregnancy as a liability but being perfectly happy to risk pregnancy herself. Not only that, but she bonds with Clem and then leaves her, citing her own precious feelings as a reason. What about Clem's feelings? You don't walk into her life and then fuck off because you don't want to see her get hurt. Stay with her and make sure she doesn't get hurt!

Mike and Bonnie showed that they are both reasonably sane and dependable. They're not the type to be constantly butting heads so I think they'd be ideal travelling companions for Clem, for the time being.

  • Mike's my new Bromid after this episode. If Trolltale kills him...I swear to Christ.......

But Kenny is fuelled by anger more than ever before. Not only does he accuse and berate and 11 year old girl for killing his girlfriend but he went complete over-kill on beating that zombie. He probably would have been bitten if Mike didn't tell him to stop. I don't like the obsession he shows over the baby either. Luke was pretty useless this episode though.

  • Yeah but sometimes anger can push you forward. It pushes me forward sometimes. Hell, look at Lee. He had a rage inside him in Episode 5 of season 1 going after Clem and he sure as hell saved her even pushing through a herd. I'm just saying, Luke did nothing except bad for the group this episode. And quite frankly, I think Kenny is just concerned for the baby and he sees it as his new "boat". It's a beacon of hope in an otherwise dead world.

  • It was stupid but I can't hate him for it. Sarah is dead so meh.

are people seriously gonna hate on luke and jane cause they got together? while it was not cause they were in love or anything it does not mean it isn't normal they are fully grown adults this does not change anything between clem and luke plus this basically kills cluke or be happy about that

  • That's not the point dude. The point is that those two having sex right there endangers the group completely and Luke knew that Rebecca was going into labor. He was completely irresponsible and stupid and so was she. I'm angry more at him because she clearly doesn't care much.
