Why was ___ so underused this episode?

I know Nick was determinant but all he did in this episode was get shot in the shoulder and be a zombie that clementine kills because he is determinant. I just wish he never was determinant as only 15% of people had him die in episode 2.

  • I have no idea and I'm extremely disappointed. They should have given Nick a proper send off and at least aided with the development of other characters (such as Luke). Like really, in order to show someone cracking under pressure you're going to have him have sex instead of breaking down over the loss of his best friend?

  • Just the usual telltale lazy writing. Not even much of a reaction from the rest of the group

Telltale is just laughing they're asses off after seeing all of those #SaveNick posts.

How did he die anyway? Was it the gunshot? Did he get bit while trying to run away? Did he just fall in the fence and die? What a pathetic death.

    I'm so sorry uncle Pete.

  • It was a big 'fuck you' to the fans.

Can't say I'm surprised at this point.

Nick's death was lazy, rushed, and underwhelming. It was so disappointing.

Nick's death was the lowest point in the entire franchise. Every single person had a better sendoff! Even the ZOMBIES got a better sendoff.

  • That's not even the worst. Like, Luke's reaction? "Fuck, fuck, fuck..." and that's it. No more mention of Nick. What's the point of saving characters if they will have no impact on the story and will have less than 20 lines(E3) or just no lines at all(E4)?

The Episodes need the "one or the other' choice instead of the simple "dead or not dead" choice. Because lets face it the Carley/Doug choice works way better for characterization and recognition from other characters than will this one person die in this episode or nah. I say this because

    1) Nick becomes almost non existent if you save him. Which disappointed me after I had this build in my head that he way going to be important especially after Pete told Clem to look after him.

    2) Alvin eh I guess that was ok he seemed to be crafted to be a background character anyways to help with Rebbecca development.

    3) I felt they should just had Sarah give up while she was in the trailer no matter what Clementine said or committed suicide. Because seriously it's one thing to save someone and have them die later but in the same fricken episode and in peril jeezus.

  • I am really disappointed, but the main reason is BECAUSE HE WAS DETERMINANT (which sucks in the first place)

  • Telltale doesn't give a flying fuck that's why he died.

  • Omg yeah, he was more upset about Jane leaving than his best friends death!

  • It's not our fault Nick died. The ones who should be apologizing to Uncle Pete are Telltale. Nick is the prime example of a good character that was wasted.

  • Pete? I'm so sorry, but once you're determinant, there is no going back.

    What a waste.

I think Telltale has got some good ideas, you know? I also think that for choice and consequence to truly matter, the episodic format is doing more harm than good. Plus, what is my current rant, buildup and payoff.
