Some unnoticed bad writing
I'll keep this short since lots of people's brains explode when there's a lot of text on their screen including myself, also, I'm writing this under the effect of alcohol. I don't know why I mentioned this last part.
"I just want to survive this"
Survive what, Luke? How long has the apocalypse thing been going on? Two years? Three?
Humans aren't exactly helping each other and building a huge community for the sake of survival of the brain guided, "intelligent" body. In fact, the world's population in the game is so dumb, and egoist, that they are killing each other for a shitload of stupid reasons that I don't really need to explain since anyone with a brain and some age could figure some of these out, instead of sticking together, and indeed surviving through having numbers, a lot of people, from who some may be good at fighting, some may be good at thinking and figuring out strategies, but with proper management that would indeed do a magnificent combination, increasing the chances of the human's survival, since it looks like the military has been overrun. So what the fuck makes you think you will "survive" anything. You best chance is a peaceful, natural death.
I'm in doubt with this one. I don't have much faith and think that if this was to really happen people's reactions wouldn't be too different.
But wait.
"The military has been overrun". How exactly? I'll keep it simple. A "zombie" or "walker" or "lurker" who's supposed to be a weakened, brainless, human with no other porpouse than to feed on living humans for some reason, can't simply bite through combat, military gear, it just can't. Besides, there are lots of ways a trained man could disable a zombie with, for example, a good punch from a soldier which breaks the weakened zombie's jaw should completely disable the zombie from doing any harm to anyone.
And if it's about numbers, a tank (or as much tanks as needed), for example, or a good explosive, should do the job. A tank can't simply get taken down by dead corpses, it's not like in some movie. A tank is a really tough, powerful, heavy, steel, raging beast that would have little trouble getting through a pile of slow corpses.
So how exactly did the military fall?
Please discuss, I may have forgotten some details.
Comments
The military is generally forgotten when it comes to zombie lore just for the sake of the story. That's why the military is always over ran, so it can help the story out.
You forget - in The Walking Dead universe, Zombies don't exist in pop culture. This is about as foreign to everybody as an alien invasion. You can't base these things off your premise of what already exists in our pop culture mythos today: To the people in The Walking Dead universe, in the first few days the walkers weren't monsters. They were a mystery that no one was able to solve. And they still are to some degree.
That has more to do with Kirkman than with Telltale
This only leads to one conclusion, the only way a zombie apocalypse could break out that way is when the military unintentionally release a virus, something or whatever that gets out of control, infecting the military themselves then leaking into public food, water or w/e into the pubic themselves. I can't see it happening any other way.
Exactly. And when the military did get around to shooting them, they definitely wouldn't have been doing headshots.
