I think they might matter in the next DLC, I mean what's the point in making a whole episode dedicated on multiple character stories if they don't have much of an impact on the game and they only appear briefly (except for Bonnie, but 400 Days wasn't centred around Bonnie).
Clementine was not supposed to be Lees sister the cut her brother out of it probably because the relation ship they had as they were kids. I forgot the brothers name unfortunately
I agree with the rest but there was also a underground level in EP5.
There was quite a bit cut from S1.
For example: In episode 1 You were originally going to have a choice of going to try to save the woman… more in the apartment, or not try at all. If you didn't try, Glenn wouldn't be too fond of you. Or, that Clementine was originally supposed to be Lee's sister. Or, that Lee was originally going to be in trouble with the Mafia. Molly was originally going to show up in Episode 5, Ben would have his "Fuck you!" speech to Kenny in Episode 4. Episode 2, Lee was going to have nightmares about Carley/Doug depending on who you saved, and in episode 3, a nightmare about Jolene. The boy in the attic in E4 was going to be crawling around on the ground, and be a much more tense scene, and a LOT of other stuff.
It's fucking bullshit, why even put him there if he will never make an appearance, I will honestly say that I was looking forward to episode 4, it's what initially got me to buy this season, I thought that Clem would meet up with Eddie and his nomadic group, and that we would have to go through some sort of initiation into there cult/group, hence the war paint, Clem appears to be putting on. The closest thing to happen to this scene was when you smeared the walker's guts on yourself at the end of Episode 3.

I believe the "Lee being Clem's brother" Was a VERY early draft of the story. It was stated in one of TellTale's live streams.
The rest can be found by fishing through files.
Telltale's twitch channel, they had a Walking Dead marathon. They said it in their episode 1 stream.
Don't know if links are available now, but I'll try.

I think the reason the people were shadows were like clem might not really know them anymore that they have changed so much she don't feel safe near them that they are strangers now

I hate it when they change the story line, What they show in the preview and what they show in the Episode.
Damn, I would love to see her brother's model.
