It probably wasn't the strongest door - cheap ones aren't hard to bust. I lived in a trailer like the one they were hiding in for a short period of time during school, and one of the doors broke just from my roommate tugging it open. Thing literally cracked!
to be honest, there have been many occasion where my suspension of disbelief has been stretched to the limit because we are controlling a child protagonist, and this is one of them
A large group of zombies beating at the door for an untold amount of time did not break the door down.
A little girl broke it in within 2 kicks.
Main character powers.
Edit : For me, it's not her breaking the door down that doesn't seem realistic. It was an old ass house and the wood was probably rotted away. I just have a problem with believing a little girl could break down the door when a bunch of zombies couldn't.
Not only kick the door, for example she could push every god damn walker falling on her away easily, when Lee a grown up dude had hard times to push a one skinny zombie away.
Maybe this is a genius easter egg, maybe telltale is gonna make a wonder woman game.

Bigby taught her.
I mean wtf, I think she's been lifting weights.

To be fair, there were like a million walkers bashing on the door before she got there.
