On a scale of 1-10 how good/bad was episode 4?

Everyone has their opinions on this episode. Some people think that it's the best episode ever and would give it a 10, no questions asked and others wouldn't even give it a 1 and say it had ruined this season.

I personally would give it an 8 because overall it was really good but it had some minor flaws.

But what do you think?

    I would give it a 9.

I wasn't keen on how Nick died and wish he would have gone out saving someone. Perhaps preventing his death in episode 2 could have meant he saves Sarah at the observation deck and then she would have determinently made it to episode 5. I feel Sarah's death could have been prevented if more efforts had of been made her.

  • 8.5 it was very good but the deaths especially nicks could have been done better

  • xD You work for IGN?

  • 9.5/10 The only think I dislike was Nick death and that Sarah shooting lesson was for nothing. Besides this Ep 4 was AMAZING!!!!!

    Godamnit Nick...and Rebecca...

  • 9.5/10 - I just felt like they could've have done more like in terms of dialogue.

  • 9,5/10

Little minus for missing 400 days characters, the slide obiviously hasn't anything to do with the actual episode and characters' lame reactions to other characters' deaths.

    1. What's the point of a game like that if your choices don't matter at all.
  • 7/10

    The Deaths were meaningless

10/10 for the story and development though

  • 9.5/10 for me.... best episode of Season 2... :D

  • 9,5/10 it was one of the best in season 2

  • 7.5/10

-could have made Nick's death a little more meaningful (make him hold the door shut while the others escape through the skylight, only to get caught before he can get there himself).
-if you're going to slap Sarah back to reality, at least make her start to come around rather than just curl up in a ball again once they get back to the others (take a shot at the walkers approaching when she's the first to see them, or something).
-Jane is just Molly v2... "Oh, I'm taking off now... okbye." Next independent loner female character that comes along isn't getting the time of day.
-dialogue choices are extremely limited, and we still don't get to learn much about Mike. At least give us something to talk about while searching that museum area.
-might as well have taken away any dialogue choices and just put a 'next' button in place: rob Arvo - his group attacks you. don't rob Arvo - his group attacks you.. which leads to...
-Russian gangster types in rural VA (or wherever they're currently at). What is this, 'Red Dawn'? Next thing you know, Patrick Swayze and the Wolverines will come out of the mountains to save our group.

  • 5/10 Too many unlogical things , stupid stereotype russians ruined the episode. If 5 episode would be like that - IMO season would be much worse than first.

  • Yup, 5/10. I'm disappointed.

9/10 in my opinion. One of the best episodes in season 2. In any case I really enjoyed it.

  • 8 because your choices don't really matter.

Probably a 5/10 at the moment. It's not even just the slaps in the face that some of the deaths were, but like others have said, the writing and situations suffered a whole lot as well, many of which felt very contrived and stupid and all for the sake of pushing a boring plotline at the expense of other more deserving characters.

Pretty good first half, largely lousy second half. 5/10 is about as fair as I can make it.

  • I had a feeling you'd be this way, Jav... but we all knew she was a Molly, so she had to leave.

  • 9/10 I didn't like how Nick died, even though I honestly didn't care about him, but besides that, there's nothing I can honestly say that was bad about the episode.

It's really underrated by some IMO

  • Choices =/= Good writing

9 One of my favourite episodes and the cliffhanger was the best one yet.

  • Solid 8

  • edited July 2014

    It's not underrated.

    • The beginning ends previously promised development + group's reaction: "Nick (insert Sarah here too) is dead? Oh, allright."
    • Jane is just reheated Molly from Season 1 - wise loner with a sad story and lost sister - really cheap solution.
    • Whole "Rebecca's rescue supplies run" is nothing more than crap - stolen pills doesn't change anything, water is not used
    • Emotions caused by force - Baby is a stillborn, oh wait, nope.

    EDIT:

Juice_Box, I was talking to everybody who rated episode high for some strange reasons.

    POSITIVES
    Sarah Died. FINALLY.
Decent twist. Excited to see outcome of shootout.
    Kenny still likes Clem.
Seemed pretty long compared to Episode 3.

    NEGATIVES
Nick Died in a "oh well that happened" way.
Where are the 400 Days characters?

    +Great character development
    +Cool locations
    -Hubs were poorly executed.

9/10. I think Nick's death was stupid. He ran off with Luke to find Sarah, and then became a walker who was stuck in a fence. Sarah's death didn't really matter anyway. If you choose to save her, she will die not very long after. Rebecca's death was good enough, died cause of birth. Jane took off because she was safest alone. Arvo & the russians would attack Clem's group even if you didn't steal from him, and he said Clem stole from him when she didn't. I don't hate this episode. I think it's the best episode of Season 2, but some of the deaths shouldn't be like they were.

  • 10/10. Everythink was perfect.

  • 9.5 out of 10

There was only some tiny stuff that bothered me.
