Disapointed, your actions doesnt matter.

No matter how you play it, be it a good lil wolf, or the big bad wolf, the outcome is the same.
It feels all your decisions hasnt matter one bit in the ending, same goes with the walking dead, avro im looking at you.

Anyone els feel all these decisions are a waste of time (and money) might as well just make a movie and be done with it.

  • They aren't a waste of time. It's a game and everyne is going to have the same ending regardless. Choices are there for the illusion and let you experience characters.

  • The only things that change are a few dialogue lines.
This reminds me of EA mass effect 3 ending, if the choices are a illusion why not watch a movie.

You can dispatch the crooked man in 3 difrent ways, no matter how you play the game, you always come to this choice.
Same like Mass effect, no matter how much war assets you required you get screwed over with 3 choices.

I didn't bought this game or TWD expecting story branching and different endings, but I rather thought of them as an experience, one which I thoroughly enjoyed and don't regret buying it.

I think Telltale in time will improve their choices/decisions system in time(you can see an improvement from the first season of TWD, especially in TWAU). Come to think of it, it's really hard even for big houses to achieve this....the one game that managed to do it right in my eyes is The Witcher 2, but Telltale isn't there at this moment.

Every season that Telltale has made had only 1 ending and/or choices that eventually lead to the same outcome. (as far as I know) If they ever decide to include multiple endings and different paths to the games they make, that'll be the day.

  • I disagree, there were some decisions that did matter, how you handled the Crooked Man in the end. Ultimately I was satisfied with the ending and the story and I enjoyed the fact that I had options that steered the story in some directions.

I am disappointed that we didn't have an option to prevent more fables from dying. There should of been an option to save some. It would of made it a better game, killing a fable off should not be a common occurrence. I do not enjoy seeing so many interesting characters getting killed off. These are interesting and complex characters that deserved to have their story told.

The fact is way too many characters died in this game and many of their deaths seemed more like a side note. We were only concerned with first two who died, what about the rest of them? Did they deserve to die? I say no.

  • With Telltale's newer choice based games, the point of the "tailored story" gameplay is that - even though the major beats of the story are the same - you still get to characterize your protagonist.

However, I will say I've noticed that Season 1 of the Walking Dead and Wolf Among Us/Season 2 handle choices differently - not in a bad way, but just differently. Season 1 of Walking Dead gave you choices that had a more notable impact on the plot that had different butterfly effects on the story throughout the Season, whereas Wolf Among Us and Season 2 of Walking Dead instead present players with choices that focus more on characterizing your version of the protagonist, but have less of a butterfly effect on the overall plot (with an exception being the later half of Cry Wolf).
