Clementine Hero Or Tyrant

which would you perfer clemtine die as a hero like lee or live as a tyrant like carver?

  • I think we all know the answer is die like a hero.

  • Somewhere in the gray middle ground of the two.

  • There is no such thing as heroes or tyrants in the ZA, just a steady spectrum from light gray to dark gray.

I personally prefer Clem to stay in the lighter gray, however.

It's hard question because I don't want her to die but... I don't want her to become as evil as Carver was too. Damn... don't make me do this! :C

  • Agree for the most part, though I do think veils of good and evil do exist in the zombie apocalypse but that’s a conversation for another time. I think I play my Clementine perspective close to chaotic good with a dash of questionable leaning. There’s a reason I assume Clementine was terrified when Carver told them they were one in the same of character and there is this sense that he’s right but Clementine doesn’t want him to be and is running from that reality.

    The best characters are multi-faceted.

  • I think she won't die as a tyrant. She'll have to make the difficult (and selfish) decision to leave the group so they die.

  • Well we all know how carver died (sheesh)

    And lee... (the feelz man)

  • Clementine can't be a hero or a tyrant without at least giving us a fucking meaningfull choice in the game.

  • Lol, true.

Clicks heroic option Gets two extra lines from Luke.
Clicks tyrant option Gets two extra lines from Kenny.

Game proceeds exactly the same afterwards

  • It would take a lot of resources and budget to make separate branching games depending on your path. Not a good financial decision, great artistic decision though. Won't happen, these games are mostly linear.

  • I see something special in her, all the good things about Carver and half of Lee.

  • Hero, she is too young to live like a tyrant

  • But she's too young to die too. :(

  • No one can never be too young to die.

    It's the apocalypse.

  • Separate branching games are obviously not feasible, but putting in the effort to actually make the characters respond more consistently to you based on big decisions is. See: S1. Here, people react to things like Clem watching Carver die at the time and then it's rarely, if ever brought up again or shown to be at play in their opinion of her.

  • Yeah, you are right that the immediacy of small things and conversation depth need to improve to make a more interesting and driven game. You can have a linear beginning and a linear end; but the inbetween does not need to be as static and minimized as it has been.

  • I know. :C Still I hope she won't die. At least survive as long as she can.
