How old should Clem be in Season 3

  • For all we know, the planet might explode.

I know Kirkman loves writing pessimistic stories, but I think that's exaggerating just a tad.

I think that would still be stepping on Kirkman's toes. We dont know what he has in mind for 7 or 8 years into his universe. For all we know, the planet might explode.

  • If they don't make it to Wellington by the end of this season then I hope theres no time skip and it just carries on straight away from where it left off. But if Wellington is a safe place then I wouldn't mind a little timeskip where they get settled in and everything before the start of season 3.

the oldest she can be is 13 cause the game is not allowed to go past the comic timeline personally i don't know whether i want another time skip depends really on how episode 5 ends

  • 12-13 i dont think they should skip 2 or 3 years

  • A time skip basically has to happen if we don't want the same experience as in S2
Clem has to feel different again (like from S1 to S2)

  • 20 years old

  • Her max age can only be 13, because if Telltale will make apocalypse last longer than 4 years, Kirkman will go to their office and kill them all for breaking his universe.

  • It's been 4.5-5 years into apocalypse in the comics now, which means that Clementine won't be older than 13 in season 3.

  • She better not become older than me :P

  • Why not? We meet hardly any of the characters from the comics.

She can only be a max of 13 or 14 because telltale can't go ahead of the comics.

  • 15 of 16. For me, I personally don't give a damn about the comics. The game is much better in my eyes, as is the show.

  • Age her up by 1 year. Too much of a time gap would be rather distracting

  • I think it would be interesting having 2 protagonists for Season 3.

Like maybe Clem could be one of them, and then an adult (Jane? Kenny? New character?) as the other. Kind of a combination of playing as Lee and Clem. With Lee, being a capable adult, we got to make decisions that impacted the group and story. The decisions we make as Clem impact more who her character is. Maybe they'll do some type of thing where we play as an adult making important story changing decisions and we also play as Clem, when we get to see the consequences and impact of those decisions.

Not sure, could be interesting. I trust Telltale though.

  • Comics created the TWD universe. They are the beginning. They are the end. Telltale can't go against them.

  • It's not about being better or worse. Comics storyline is the canon. Just like Fables are canon for TWAU, so Telltale can't make Bigby get laid with Nerissa, kill Bluebeard or do something else that doesn't match the canon.

  • Its awesome how shes a little girl, it shows how you can do anything when the time comes but she may be around 13 for season 3 ( I think )

the problems the game has with clementine only being 11 won't go away in the maximum amount of time of 2 years, like her being physically weak, but still being strong enough to handle zombies somehow and kicking down doors, her being a child yet still doing everything or her not having any possibility of any romance without it being gross, i know telltale are going by chuck philosophy of her being a living person not a little girl, but that just isn't true, she is a little girl and ignoring that is making the game less believable but not ignoring it would make the game less enjoyable.

so considering that i think if they stick with clementine as a protagonist they should just continue the story immediately after episode 5 or maybe up to a month later, and if they change protagonist i guess it doesn't matter how long they wait, maybe it could even be set in the past like in between the two seasons for example

To me most of the timeskips are a lazy way of moving the story along, but i get that sometimes they just have to happen. I always wanted to see the end of season 1 where Clem found Omid and Christa in the countryside..what a great emotional moment that could of created, but it was wasted to move the story along. Sometimes when there is a tricky part in the story like Christa's baby...it's easy just to timeskip to avoid writing it,but they hardly enhance the story.

the timeskip should of come after the baby,to where Clem and Christa were sat making a fire. in season 3 i would like Clem to be maybe only a few months older .

I wasn't talking about characters. I was talking about the canon. In fact, they already included characters from comics in the game, so it officially follows Kirkman's storyline. And it means that Clementine won't be older than 13 in next season.

  • If fans are voting for Clementine to be much older, they are saying that Telltale have to.

  • She being older (meaning like 16 to 18 years) would definitely add some dimension to the game. But yeah as everybody says, you can't rush ahead.

  • yeaa, but then again in the WD universe they still dumb, and there is more herds.

Just pick up a few months after the first season left off.. Or just pick it up where season 2 left it.. I thought about It and I dont think

  • Yes and that's why I said that it might not even be possible.
But at least I'm hoping for a couple of years older.

They can't go too far into the future. Kirkman wouldn't like considering its his universe. The only way that can be possible if this was some sort of Alternate universe sort of thing that in no way affects Kirkman's plans.

  • What about 40 years old? (joke :p)

  • 13-14 :p I actually look at her like if she was 13 years old, she doesn't look like 11 to me.

  • If ther'll be a Season 3 and if Clem will be the protagonist, i think the time-lapse will be just a few months from Season 2. Season 3 will probably tell how clem will continue her journey towards wellington, only to discover at the end that the camp was overrun long ago and everyone is dead

  • I'd like 13 or 14. She's a little more mature, but still has that youthful perspective that makes her unique.

  • Is it? The only limit is his imagination, as the saying goes.
