Why was Kenny so Daddy like?

edited July 2014 in The Walking Dead

When the baby was born I get everyone wants to protect or care for it but did it seem strange he went full daddy for it. Am thinking maybe it was a emotional trigger from his past wife and son Duck

Comments

  • yeah he misses his family and clearly wants to be the babies dad but he is being kinda weird about it

  • He's very family-oriented.

  • Maybe he gave up on Clementine being Duck 2.0 after the Sarita incident, and saw this baby as another potential Duck 2.0.

  • I believe you just answered your question :P

  • That's part of it.

Kenny is co-dependent, he NEEDS someone to protect. Someone in another thread said that "Kenny is an all-American family man, without a family." That's pretty much sums it up.

  • Strange tho, would think that would hit home for everyone

  • Did not think about that or realize that within his character.

  • I think Kenny should be awarded a little bit of fatherhood... I mean, guys, the dude literally delivered the baby. If Kenny hadn't been there, the birth wouldn't have even happened.

  • The baby is the only thing he has to live for now.

  • He wants the baby to be his son. I THINK.

  • It would have happen regardless cannot control when one gives birth, but that emotional help for Rebecca made it easy-er for her

  • Well I mean, it would have happened, but it wouldn't have gone as smoothly

  • Yeah tho am surprised no one else at least the ladies would know or offer something bout childbirth.

  • It might seem like that, especially after Sarita.. but I think he thinks Clem can take care of herself, like in episode 4 he says something like ive seen you take care of yourself better than any 3 adults combined... what do you guys think?

  • You answered your own question as someone said. It hit home for him. I personally didn't think it was creepy, but I understand why some people would think that (like people who agree with Luke). When someone is being emotional or depressed, they usually get criticism from people who don't understand what its like to be in that state of mind. Sad, really. :/

  • What about Clementine. I know she pissed at her, but still. He seems very protective of her just a few short hours before the whole Sarita incident.
