I hate to be that guy but think goodness they made major changes to the story lol
As a fan of the comics i hated that they were going throw in a subplot about "humans finding out about fables" because not only does it contradict everything the comics have said but it also was one big distraction from the main plot of the game
i was also glad they did not give the red haired guy (The Boy Who Cried Wolf) a big role in the story since everybody in the forum already saw it coming lol

Well we never saw how it was going to end up, so who knows whether or not it would have been better?
As a comic reader, I agree it would be not very good since it goes heavily against canon. But as a gamer, I would have loved the story. And dojo is right, since it was never made, we couldn't have known how it could have ended.
I would have liked the police sub plot [ tho in the last chapter, somebody must have saw bigby [ in the game since everything else was down graded or slight tweks for the player. But am still interested what the original or first idea was.
this was gonna be an issue no matter what telltale does. most of the time they like makeing au games not part of the mian story of the series so they can write whatever they want with out messing up canon. or in back to the futures or monkey island's case a plain old sequel. but with wolf they wrote themselves into a corner by makeing it a prequel and thus had to abide by the canon as to not mess with the already made story that is in the comics
tales of the borderlands might not have this issue as it seem to be it's own thing. game of thrones i'm not so sure.
I didn't like how Telltale cut most of the stuff from the game (dialogue, little things to interact with, etc.), I'm specifically referring to the finale that everyone was talking about in the past week. Most of you know what I'm talking about.
Apart from that, if they hadn't made the supposed changes to the story, we probably wouldn't have gotten amazing characters like Bloody Mary or the Jersey Devil.
Or the Werewolf transformation!
Although, someone said in the other thread, that Lily was supposed to be named Charlotte, that in first trailer and models from 1st release of the game Nerissa didn't worn any ribbon and, what is the biggest mystery, who the hell is 3d model from files named 'livia?
Im not asking about Kelsey/Braningan model, because that is quite obvious when you look back to the original 3rd episode tile.
I would love if Telltale released the first and second version of the game via some kind of novel. Just to let us know, what was supposed to happen, because everybody's been curious.
Also, this would be a reward for the sloppy things and mistakes (like achivements or Nerissa saying that she cut her leg while leaving Faiths head, and suddenly next day she doesnt have any trace of the wound).
I'm glad they switched up the idea but it would have been awesome to see the mundy police breaking down Bigby's door, assuming HE was the murderer of Faith. Can you imagine Fabletown trying to cover THAT whole thing up?! XD
well maybe, you couldn't see the wound because it depends on how well her story is known to people because some fables are harder to kill than others and maybe some fables heal faster than others too
Right! Both scenes were amazing, Bigby has the ultimate fluff.
I'd prefer they stick to their original idea. If they spent ages working on that version of the story and swapped stories asap how can that be half as good? The game kind of seems like two now. Half original and half altered. But I like the game and it's story so eh. But hopefully they won't swap stories as much
