Jane's Future . . .

The way she left. . . I just feel like she will be back in Episode 5. Her whole "point" was that you can't have friends/ trust anyone but I think Clementine is giving her hope. The way she left felt really cheap. Almost exactly like Molly, but worse considering Jane felt like a close part of the group. You also have to think she might have feelings for Luke that might come back. I think it would make for a great ending if she came back and had the whole "life is worth living with friends" mantra about her and helped us kick some ass.

And if she doesn't come back, well then I have to say that is pretty poor story telling by Telltale. We (Clem) essentially spent the whole episode with her and learned about her life and philosophy. Simple, would not make sense for her to walk away. I mean it was a good "ending" I guess by her foreboding to us that by staying in the group we are screwed but it just doesn't make any sense to see her walk out right now.

Also, while we are on the topic of returning characters, I am almost positive Christa will make a return in Season 3. Much like Kenny did this season- way to ambiguous of an ending (hearing a gun shot in the distance) and it will make for a nice connection.

I hope the nail file is handy.

  • I actually refused to take it. Not sure why. I think it was because by refusing it I was letting her know that I refuse her life style of living by herself. Also, maybe I thought by refusing to take it Clem would say something similar to "I don't have to take it because you are staying here." Alas, one can only hope.

  • I think she's gone for good, unfortunately :/

  • Feels like a really cheap exit. She's nearby and clearly had a connection with Clementine and the group. Its hard to leave that behind. Her exit was adrenaline. She knows where they are heading (the city) and I think she will learn that living with a group with someone worth fighting for is a lot more rewarding.

  • Yeah the fact that Telltale got us connected to a character then sent her off is extremely lame. But then again, look at what they did with Sarah, so I'm not surprised.

She seems pretty similar to molly in terms to how they join and leave...

  • I wouldn't be surprised if she saves the group by taking out the Russian with the AK-47 from behind. I also wouldn't be surprised if she gets killed in the process kind of proving her point about groups.

She wouldn't be the first character to leave, and not be heard from so far. There are still loose ends from season 1 that haven't been addressed.

  • Jane most certainly is a Molly 2.0, but since I really liked Molly, I forgave Telltale for that, heh.

  • My first play-through,I didn't accept it because I wanted to reject what she was doing (but, I also thought she might need it more than I would if she was really going to leave). My second play-through, I decided to take it because Clem might need it and I thought it might help Jane to forgive herself some knowing that Clem would be out there somewhere scrapping hard to the very end, nail file saving the day ;)

  • Yea if Jane doesn't come back than I really regret not taking the nail file. Knowing Telltale the one time I reject something/ play risky it will come back and bite me.

  • I hope she comes back, yes maybe it would be a bit of a cliche for her to just join the group but we already had one loner who just left. Would make a nice change if she came back

  • I think theres a chance she'll come back, but not intentionally, the reason she left was because she had feelings for the group, i don't see why she would go back by her own will.
