They definitly should put choices that leads to GameOver again *EP4 spoilers*
For example, the situation when saving Sarah in the Trailer Park:
To simulate a more realistic situation, assume that your choices CAN result in Game Over(Like Lee´s famous "Put the gun down, bitch!" to Brenda), and when at GameOver screen, you can only restart from the start of the episode(the hardcore realistic simulation would be that you never could play the game again, but this is too harsh). Try to imagine that you were playing it blindly(for the first time). If you saved her there, would you still stick to your choice? No one would save her, right?
My point is that Clementine´s plot protection have a immense influence in choices that put yourself at risk like this, and it kinda ruins the immersion of the game. They really could put choices that can lead to death again in Season 2, and make some checkpoints(kinda close to each other, otherwise it would a great annoyance)to continue from when GameOver happens, it would add much more tension to the choices, what you guys think?
Another good example is when Carver is beating Kenny: Not many people would be reckless to try to help Kenny.

i think game over screens ruin the immersion, and game over screens because of a choice just invalidates your choice, so they may as well not give you that choice at all
