F**K in pretty much every line
Am I the only one who got sick of the constant swearing from every f**cking character? Or how every interaction you have with anyone is so aggressive? What ever happened to those peaceful conversations, where characters actually talked to each other, instead of being at each others throats, constantly swearing every line? I understand that you play as Bigby, who has a bad reputation which is why everyone hates you, but man the swearing could be toned down. I started to cringe every time they sworn by the third episode.

I kinda agree with you, that much cursing is not necessary.
Gren, Woodsman, and Jersey Devil don't strike me as the kind of people who would tone down their cursing lol
I lost count of all the Fbombs being dropped by Gren.
There were peaceful conversations with Snow (the worst she said was crap), Beauty and TJ (altough he's just a kid).
The cursing is getting annoying
EDIT: oke seriously I lost count after Grendel
Well, that's how most people talk now. Where I live everybody curses.
It's a mature rated video game. Lots of cursing is to be expected.
You do realize that Bigby is trying to catch a killer? There is no time to be peaceful or friendly. Sometimes words slip out due to pure frustration or anger. Also it's a rated M game...What did you fucking expect?
go play gta 5 then come back and tell me they f bomb to much.
Yeah, but it doesn't NEED to be there. They could seriously replace every single cuss word in this game with decent language and it would still be a fantastic story.
People's heads being chopped off Is one of the main plotpoints. Also Fables is not a comic for the little kiddies. If you thought TWAU was dark I dare you to read Fables. If telltale toned down the violence, language and gore it wouldn't be Fables anymore.
Well, I mean the cussing isn't necessary. It probably couldn't be the same without the violence, but I could do without the cussing...or at least an option to bleep it out.
Also the n word when franklin and lamar are together
Lol If you don't like the F-bomb, do not play Mafia 2!!!
No, the cursing didn't bother me. I knew what I was getting into, and yeah everyone is on edge because they're trying to solve murders so I can understand them being snappy.
I'm pretty sure that cursing and aggressive behavior would be the least of Fabletown's concerns since, y'know, a killer was among them! You'd probably curse too if you were in some of their positions, you silly guy.
I can honestly say that I have never really thought about this, so obviously it didn't bother me during my playthroughs.
Or GTA 5
Cursing is never necessary. It's just the way people talk, especially when they're tensed up. It's hard to believe in this day and age people have such tender ears. Context is important too. They're not cursing just because it's fun. The comic is really bad about that. They have to write the way people talk no matter how coarse it is. Anything else sounds unnatural.
Snow does drop the fbomb several times, most depend on your choices.
I agree with you but at least it's not like Scarface the world is yours or any other games with constant swearing.
Can you give an example when she curses?
Seriously, what does it matter? It doesn't feel unnatural. It doesn't feel out of place. It's no more offensive than the general content of the game.
I understand that it's a mature rated game, but the amount of cursing is so high that I have a hard time taking it seriously. It's a good game, but I feel like the constant cursing didn't add much. I do enjoy Mr Toad's cursing. That always gets me laughing.
There are people in real life who curse even more than that (just in my school for example). I actually think it's realistic.
Even though Snow barely cusses, she can depending on what you say. She never cusses in episodes 1, 2, and 5. It takes a lot of combining choices. Most are when it regards her past. Saying that you suspect Crane in front of everyone at the funeral is the first trigger to Snow cussing. The next is putting the evidence of the broken mirror together. The last time Snow cusses is if you say that it's easy for her to judge you.
If you want to talk about cursing, everyone cursed. There is one curse phrase that repeats like crazy in the game, and Snow used the phrase first.
I know and I can life with it but I never hear somebody say som many times fuck in five minutes and later still. I read the comics I laugh when they curse because it is so funny but in the game I'm like. Look lets count how many times you said fuck in five minutes
Fuck fucking, fucking fuck fuck fuck fuck fucking fuck fuck fuck FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCKING FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUJUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK
In the voice of Toad: "Who fucking cares?"
The cursing adds some realism imo. When in high pressure or intense situations most people curse alot. I know I do.
"Maybe we can walk?"
I liked the crooked man trial where Bigby says "will everyone please SHUT THE FUCK UP" like 5 times
You know the swearing has it's basis, mostly frustration and anger. Bigby usually says "shut the fuck/hell up". Gren says fuck the moment he's frustrated or angry. The most common cursing is Bigby's line which I mentioned and "What the hell" first said by Crane and later on include Beauty, Nerissa/Faith, Bigby, Snow, Toad, etc. All are justifiable by frustration and anger.
I don't care about the swearing, it actually makes everything a little bit intense, which is good. If you want peaceful conversations, you should play peaceful games, like, I don't know... Barbie stuff.
