If Clementine Dies, Then That's Just It. She Dies.
Oh god, I can feel the rage building from a lot of you just from reading the title.
Let me make one thing perfectly clear...
NO, I don't want Clementine to die.
The same way how I didn't want Lee to die...or any other character I've grown to like in both Seasons. Clementine is my all time favourite kid character in any entertainment medium. I loved how realistically written she was in Season One and I loved playing as her in Season Two.
She's grown to be the kind of kid where instead of being an observer (like in Season One), she contributes more to the group. I know some people would argue that the adults make her do everything. Though I wouldn't say everything, she still does enough to the point where she isn't just a useless little kid. It would really suck to see such a perfectly-developed character meet her end....
...but if Season Two demands that Clementine's story ends and she dies in Episode Five...well, that sucks. I might be depressed for a good couple of days...maybe even weeks. But I'll eventually get over it, because at the end of the day, she's just a video game character, and a fucking damned good one too.
If Clementine does survive to see Season Three, great. Fantastic. Can't wait to see her looking older and re-designed. If not, well I'm still going to get Season Three.
The point I'm trying to make is even though you've grown attached to this character (...maybe even overly-attached), whether she dies in Season Two or Season Three, her death won't be in vain. It was a fun, emotional and epic story, but that's all it is. Just a story.
It's okay to be sad if she dies, but eventually you'll get over it. It will be difficult, but I know you can do it. You survived after Lee died, you can do the same if Clementine dies.

I like my idea because the decisions would actually matter like is Clem a cold hearted loner or a compassionate girl still? It would be cause and affect because you would have to take the consequences, anyone get what I'm trying to say?
Why cant we never have an happy ending to a Walking Dead episode? Maybe this once Clem will survive and maybe she will survive in Season 3 but Jane who speaks the truth says that everyone's luck runs out.
I don't understand. How would it be pointless if Clementine does die? If Season Two's supposed to conclude Clementine's story, why would her death have no meaning? Every survivor in The Walking Dead will meet their end eventually.

I completely agree with you. It would be horrible to loose such an amazing character, but like Jane said, You're luck is gonna run out someday. I would love to watch her grow up and become a woman and be badass, but if the plot demands it, she is human. She has faults. She can die like everyone else. She's not invincible. She's an eleven year old girl. She's lucky to have survived so much in only 2 or so years. If she died next episode, I will be sad. I might ever tear up. But I will move on. And I won't get mad at Telltale. I will applause them for getting a reaction out of me in the first place. To actually love this character that they have created shows their talent is great(Even though they can equally disappoint some of us for other reasons.)

I mean it would make Lee's death pointless if Clem dies at age 11 it would mean in the long run he failed, yeah Clems gonna die eventually but it shouldn't be now,..
I know it sounds heartless and I can already feel the rage flowing now. But I'd be fine if Clem dies. NO I dont want her to die! But I'm saying I would get over it and buy season 3 regardless if she lives or dies. Her story has been a hell of an emotional rollercoaster but all great stories must come to an end and there are no happy endings in the walking dead.

Seriously though why are all of you acting like Clementine dying is the worst thing that could happen to her? I'd rather Clementine die at a more innocent level then have her grow up and become heartless. It'd rather Clementine die with her humanity than live without it. And if Clementine can stay alive with her humanity still there than thats amazing!

To be perfectly honest I don't see any reason for Clementine to die in Season 2, Telltale would just be repeating themselves if they killed the playable character again, it would also mean that everything Lee did was in vain, because if there was one thing we had at the end of Season 1 it was hope, hope that Clementine will survive thanks to Lee's guidance and ultimately sacrifice.
I believe it would only make sense to play as Clementine in Season 3, since as far as I am concerned the story of TWDG was about Clementine from the beginning.
Also just a side note: I don't think I would be able to forgive Telltale if they truly did, for some (to me) unforseeable reason decide that Clementine should die at the end of the last episode, but if they did, there would be No Going Back.

Her story could come to and end in Rick's community and then they introduce her in the comics.

I think that episode 5 will end with Clem, the baby and Luke about to go into Wellington and then BAM black screen and then credits.
