What happened to the Kenny bandwagons?

I remember back in season 1 that there were very few people that actually liked Kenny. Then after we found out he survived episode 5 and was confirmed for season 2 he became everyone's favorite character. However, after episode 4 of this season I've been seeing a lot of threads saying how Kenny is a dick etc. It's just funny to me how polarizing his character is. Thoughts?

  • A lot of people still like his character but disliked his attitude towards Clem in amid the ruins

  • But then that was forgiven when Kenny saved Clem from that Walker when running to the observation deck.

Yeah it's funny how people think sometimes, but I have liked Kenny from the start, he's had his moments but I've still liked him, and in Ep 5 I never bought that he died because both of his "deaths" we never saw him die, I called it was him in the Ep2 trailer, and I wasn't surprised when he returned , Go TeamBeard and TeamBike

  • How polarizing his character is, or his fanbase?

  • Really? Saved her life from one walker that was like 15 feet away? Also coming from the opposite direction that she was supposed to go.

But then that was forgiven when Kenny saved Clem from that Walker when running to the observation deck.

  • What I meant to say. Sorry for the error.

  • Minority being pushed around by majority happened.

  • The Kenny fan base was far from a minority.

Not sure if that's what you meant though...

  • He is always either a huge dick or the kindest character in the game. That's why, and I'm a huge Kenny fan btw so I'm kinda biased

  • I always liked Kenny, from the time he saved Lee's life at the drug store. The guy was my bro, through and through.

  • Come on guys, he is easily the most realistic character. He lost everyone he had cared about twice! He had more to lose than anyone and he lost everything

  • How did he have more to lose than anyone ?

Are you implying he gave even slightly a damn about Matthew or Walter? Because he sure didn't seem to when Clem told him to not shoot and he did anyway, getting Walter killed. And he hasn't had a single word about either of them or so much as a slight facial expression change.

And after Walter dies? He keeps it up! It takes Sarita or Clem being the hostage for him to let up. He didn't care at all.

On another note, didn't a similar thing happen with Luke(the whole fanbase and bandwagon dwindling after ... happened?)

  • After Kenny messed up about something everyone could relate to, the majority decided to target him, and anyone basically supporting him would be targeted also.

  • Did you actually go find Kenny during the hostage situation? When Carver kills Walter, Kenny looks devastated. Then he immediately flies into a rage and tries his hardest to kill Carver for it. To say that Kenny didn't care about Walter is just completely unfounded.

  • The problem I have with Kenny is he is a fairweather friend. Someone who has your back until the shit hits the fan. Then, God forbid you have a differing opinion that conflicts with his. And one thing I really distrust is blatant hypocrisy. I felt nothing when Kenny was going on about how he took the consequence of the stolen walkie just so he could die. So then, he didn't take a beating to save Clementine, he did it so he could get himself killed infront of people that cared for him? Cool. Very "realistic" character there.

  • I will always be with Kenny he is awesome.

  • Even if people didn't like him a lot in Season 1, he's the only connection we have (other than Clem, because we don't know where Christa is) to the past season, to all the memories we had when playing those episodes.

  • I had issues with Kenny in season 1 (anybody that you can't disagree with even just once is kind of a jerk...), but I grew to appreciate him in season 2. Until the latest episode, because it was pretty terrible that he blames you for Sarita's death no matter what you did. I know he's having a rough time, but Rebecca lost Alvin too and you don't see her blaming anybody. I thought he cared about Clem more, but now it doesn't seem like it.

  • I want to try and help kenny before he loses it. I was never a huge fan of his, but i by no means want him to die or anything. It's just his temper that bugs me. And his overall attitude towards almost everything he does.

  • He only cares about her to the extent that she goes along with what he wants.

  • Yeah, it sorta did. I remember I'd get downvotes for saying "I like Luke." Then everyone lost their minds. Now, you see Luke fangirls trying to swarm me over and say "omg no i saw him frst his miennnnnnnnn" and yeah. ;-;

  • I still like Kenny.... he wasn't as rude as everyone said he was in my play through...
