Before Season 2 Came

I can remember before season 2 came, the majority of people did NOT want Clem as a protagonist because she already has a set character and that a child wouldn't influence the group's decisions much.

Now people are threatening to stop playing if Clem isn't the protagonist, jesus people I like her character and all but I feel her being the protagonist again won't be all that great. it's already unrealistic how strong they made Clem (Physically, not mentally) such as kicking down the door and cutting through bone with a hatchet in 2 strikes. The adults make her do all the shit, which is unrealistic.

I wanna play as an adult, but I still want Clem to be around- not dead, and not the protagonist.

But before you get all hateful in the comments, i've mentioned this before and other people have mentioned it too. In season 3 to make EVERYONE happy we could have 2 protagonists, one Clem, and one other person, doesn't matter who, if he/she is an adult. The way it would work is sometimes it switches to Clem-Clem and sometimes switches to New Guy.

  • I'm okay with Clem as the.protagonist but If she's not ,I want her to be the side character whose attitude will depend on our choices , but that could be hard...

Clementine as main character, she is queen.

No but seriously, clementine is the main story of twd. I feel like if we started new with a new character it wouldn't feel like twd and it would be useless calling it "season 3". In season 1, if we never met clementine, it would be boring as hell. I feel like they couldn't continue the story without it. Continuing clementine is the only logical thing to do and plus it's what makes TWD special. Playing as a 11 year old girl? That's unique and it's funner doing shit for the adults.

Now let's get real, if clementine was not the main character.. telltale would end up killing clementine or separating her from us in some way so yeah. I don't think that's the best idea.

  • I kind of want an adult protagonist, because then it would make a lot more sense for things, such as the group relying on you for tough calls. @_@

  • That's where the idea of 2 protagonists comes in, everyone would get what they want.

I don't think that's a good idea since that's just too much content for telltale to create and imagine the time it would take? #CLEMENTINE4SEASON3

  • I don't really mind playing as Clem, it's actually quite fun. I'm kind of tired with playing as adult characters in most games, powerhouse adult males or super agile females etc. While playing with Clem I actually keep thinking how I can avoid conflict rather than facing it head on as I normally would do as an adult. I agree though that sometimes it does feel a odd to see her kicking doors in and stuff but it doesn't bother that much. I really enjoy the emotional connection I built with the character. Switching to another and starting over is just not that appealing to me.

  • Are you sure about that? because that's actually what they're doing with their upcoming borderlands game.

I'm not even sure about that, I'm highly interested on how that's going to work out. And really? I can see that working out for borderlands but don't see it working out for walking dead.

  • It's actually not that unrealistic what they had her do with the door. I admit I also was taken aback by it for a second, but I got over it quick because, as a child (younger than 10), I took gymnastics and taekwondo. And I was never very strong, so I was always astounded by the feats accomplished by the other kids. Flipping around and breaking through boards and shit. And many of these kids were younger, smaller, and skinnier than me. Kids can be pretty darn strong. As for breaking through bone, I always imagined that the longer a walker decays the easier it is to break through its bone, but that's just my theory.

Anyway, bottom line I want Clem as playable character. I feel like she's just getting started. She has so much potential (the writers just need to realize it). And bottom line again, she's the only character besides Lee who is worthy of being playable character. She's the only one I'm actually attached to.

  • Thanks for your opinion and all but when i said breaking through bone I didn't mean a walker, I meant Sarita.

  • Lmao nobody would play S3 if Clem wasn't the protagonist. TT isn't fucking stupid. TWD fan base is literally the Clementine/Lee fan base.

  • That's true, but it's silly.

If you quit the game just because of changes, you aren't REALLY a fan.

You automatically infer it sucks because a character isn't the protagonist. yes...

  • Oh, I thought you meant when she slices through the zombie's sternum. Cutting off sarita's arm seemed pretty believable to me. She had skinny arms.

  • Did you not read it? And don't get sensitive, it's really not that serious.

You apparently aren't open to new things, which I can understand, but you really can't call yourself a true fan if you only like a game because of a character.

Please read my comments 5 more times. Thanks.

  • So I guess the game will become HORRIBLE and became stupid if they drop Clem and instead make her a deuteragonist?

  • Actually I am saying it was most likely be much worse than it worse before if the drop Clem so if you want to misinterpret my words, than yeah, it will fucking suck. However, they might make it work and NOT make it TERRIBLE which I seriously doubt. Who's fucking illiterate now? A maybe YOU should read MY fucking post.

And calm down, it's a game. Thank you.

I never misinterpreted your words.. please read it again or learn to read.

  • You say you don't play the game just because of Clem, but say the game will suck if she isn't apart of it or not protagonist, and that you will not play anymore.

And if you want me to take you seriously, don't get so sensitive so easily. You sound really angry about hmmm NOTHING and me talking to you through a computer.

  • I want to play as Clementine but I also want to play as an adult too...maybe we can switch characters?

  • Guys, please watch the arguments and insults. Thanks.

  • I like clementine, and following her story.

  • Great Idea but I think that might take too long to do

  • Let's face it, the series has always centred around Clementine, even from Season 1, so I sincerely hope they don't plan to kill Clementine off any time soon, and it would be fun being able to play as the same main character for once, if we do play as Clementine in future Seasons, all past decisions, except for those in 400 Days DLC, can have an impact.
