And Another Thing...

Many of the Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy fans on this forum probably know that Eoin Colfer is writing a sixth book in the series. For those who don't, I'll give a link to a news entry about it at the end of this post. Personally, I'm simultaneously cynical yet optimistic about it. I would love to see another book to see what he's going to do about what happened at the end of Mostly Harmless, (people who have read it know what this is, I'm not going to put a spoiler) but I also think it would be nice to leave the series alone.

LINK'D!

Mostly Harmless seemed pretty final to me. I'm intrigued about what he could do with the story, but at the same time I'm not sure I would like to read it.

Adams always said he was somewhat disappointed with the dismal tone of the final book, and that he would have liked to make another book.

Something about the Babelfish learning space-time bending abilities from Dolphins in exchange for the knowledge of a good place for parties, and as such, Arthur is saved by his God-disproving little parasite.

Even though it's really just glorified fan-fiction, I have high hopes for this. Hitchhiker's is one of my absolute favorite series, and even though Mostly Harmless was a great final chapter, it just never felt like a true ending.
