Not official. Unless Telltale makes an official announcement and confirms it themselves, it's not real. It's most likely a guess they made based on the time it takes to release episodes, and they probably want attention and to be the "First ones to know..." when they aren't.

There were also release dates posted for Ep.5 of TWAU, and they also turned out not to be true (the episode was released a week earlier).
