The Windmill "Puzzle"
So what happened here? It's quite clear this would have been a perfect place for a puzzle -not that TWD has had any actual difficult puzzles like in the old days- but still somehow it got removed along the way. It makes it even more puzzling (forgive the pun) the fact that it's just two clicks without any actual difficulty, and the rest of the characters have no idea how to do it which makes a hilarious moment xD
Anybody has any idea why it got discarded? I'm really curious.

Probably because the windmill was attracting walkers, so doing a really long puzzle would be weird because of the supposed urgency of turning it off.
Doesn't urgency make a puzzle sequence better and more nerve-wracking? In that scenario, Clementine would be feeling flustered and pressed for time. So why not give the player the same experience by including a more complex puzzle sequence?
Are you kidding? The loving care telltale put into this puzzle is actually pretty astounding. I was really straining to figure out the solution, but at the same time, I was happy to see that Telltale was returning to their point-and-click routes with this wonderful addition to the episode.
I thought it was pretty funny no one else could figure out the wind turbine but clementine, it was so complex even Mcguver couldn't figure it out.
Maybe Telltale just didn't want more work towards their deadline? The windmill would've been a great place for a puzzle. The train one in Season 1 got to me. I spent a long time looking for that pencil haha.
There was also another sequence that was discarded where Clementine and Alvin were fishing. Maybe some puzzle interactivity was going to happen in it too?
Good point.

Who else but Telltale?
