Why did so many people hate Duck?

Honestly, he wasn't that bad. He was just like a normal kid his age!

    I didn't even find him annoying it was not until I came onto the forums that I found out people thought duck was the most annoying character I don't understand why though he was fine

    I guess it's because he indirectly caused the death of Shawn, was kind of annoying Clementine... maybe even because he just wanted to help? I can't say since I'm not a hater of Duck :3

    i don't see shawn's death as a reason to hate duck cause either way shawn had to die cause of the canon so either way there was gonna be one character that would have caused his death it just so happened to be duck

    Because he was a child video game charcater who was loud, in the way and annoying, same as Sarah (she seems to get even more hate) . I honestly didnt mind him I mean compared to fallout or elder scrolls children he was fine, he didnt get too many people killed.

    He was different just like Sarah that's why people hated him. Also people hated that he got Hershel's son Shawn killed. I liked Duck as a character though and felt bad for him when he died.

    Well, we didn't really see if Duck was truly at fault, it's not 100% clear that he did it, and he definitely didn't do it intentionally.
