Will Telltale follow the same pattern for future seasons?
There is a distinctive pattern that Telltale has been following for Seasons 1 and 2. Will they follow the same pattern for Season 3, or is this just a coincidence?
A New Day & All That Remains:
- Lee finds himself injured and with a new group
- Clementine finds herself injured and with a new group
- Both episodes end with a split decision of saving two people (Nick and Pete, Doug and Carley)
Starved For Help & A House Divided:
- In both episodes, the groups get separated from the cabin/Motor Inn and find themselves in danger, dealing with dangerous foes (St. Johns and Carver)
- Foes do not span the entire season, and are killed/stopped within the same/next episode
Around Every Corner & Amid the Ruins:
- Pace slows down a bit, less gloom and doom and more adventure (looking for supplies in Crawford / looking for supplies in the museum)
- Save a problematic group member or let them die (Ben and Sarah)
- If you saved them, they later get pinned down and devoured (happened to both Ben and Sarah if saved)
and most importantly...
Both episodes end with Clementine in immediate danger as a result of someone the group "robbed". Whether you steal from Arvo or the Stranger or not it doesn't matter, because Episode 4 in both seasons ends with Clementine in danger because of someone who had their supplies taken by either the group, the player, or Jane.
I think these similarities are present, but Episode 5 will completely break the cycle and be completely different than any Walking Dead episode we have ever played. If Christa is found as a walker, it would be to similar to Clem finding her parents as a walked in No Time Left. Also, I am 99.9% sure Clementine will NOT die, but I think she may find herself alone in an unknown situation again. Like when she was in the field after escaping Savannah, Episode 5 could end with her and the baby alone in the middle of a herd or something.
