Are you okay with Clem killin?

It can be perfectly reasonable to kill a person in the zombie apocalypse in self-defence or out of mercy, but what if Clem was put in the following circumstances? Would you be okay if Clementine killed:

  1. Out of hatred? What if one of your remaining favorite characters was murdered or had done something inexcusable to Clementine and Clem had the chance to get revenge.

  2. If someone was in your way? The quick and easy way out of a bad situation, like trying to escape from captivity or it looks like they were going to get Clem killed. (I'm sure Telltale would give us another way that requires more finesse)

  3. If someone told you to (the scariest one)? Someone like Kenny or Luke told you there is no other way or if they were pissed off at someone.

I know this topic is a bit dark, but telltale could pull one of these situations on us in ep5 or in season 3. Now remember that it's cold and harsh world in the zombie apocalypse, but Clementine is an 11 year old girl that we watched grow up with the power to choose over life and death. In this game Clem can be responsible for indirectly killing people that she knows both friend and foe, but these points I have made are a bit direct with her(you) pulling the trigger. So what do you think and what would you do?

  • This is a Telltale game, of course there's a choice!

  • "Really?"

    "No, not really."

  • Well, I let Clem watch Carver die. And you can tell by the end she did enjoy seeing his head bashed in.

  • No, I only want her to kill if it's necessary.

  • I'm completely fine with her killing. Her character has grown mentally stronger over the years and I'd expect that type of behavior from pretty much anybody at this point. Just as long as she isn't a psycho though, like she should only kill if being attacked or something.

  • If people tries to hurt Clem or some others in her group, then yea, of course. Also if people are really bad (like Carver).

    1. It would not be okay, however it would be understandable and excusable actually. I human being can only take so much shit.(especially children)

2.Depends, if the guy to kill to make it easier are the captivers themselves, then kill them, they brought it on themselves in the first place. Unless it's also as easy to disable like....shoot them in the arm or the leg instead of on the head or something of the sorts, like the carver thing minus the head bashing.

If the guy to kill is a bystanding stranger for some reason, then rather not. If it's a companion in a "sick your dog on the bear and run away" maneuver like Luke or Kenny, then Hell. Fuckin. No!

3.Depends, if it really was the only way, then sure. But if it was not and they were just livid at the guy who caused the group so much pain? Then no. Following their advice on that situation would only further lead them down the path of darkness, Clementine included.

I still disapprove of kenny killing Carver. But I stayed and watched out of respect for his anger and pain and so that he doesn't feel left behind.(Like when I tried to save Larry instead of siding with Kenny), I dunno, some things are just not constant.

  • It depends. If the person is bitten or about to die, then yes

If the person is trying to kill Clem, then yes.

  • Im fine with Clementine killing if she has no other choice, not just for convenience's sake.
