The Truth of Wellington

As we all know, the accolades trailer was released. On the last few seconds, it shows a small glimpse of a playground, and a blizzard.

By the looks of it, we do arrive at Wellington at the end. But, the group'll regret ever going there. The cold winter probably killed the survivors that went there in the past. Think about it, you're unable to grow food and with that weather? Oh please.

We're just going to a death trap.

  • I think there wasn't an actual snow storm, it was just a white screen that faded slowly to the playground with the sound effects of a blizzard.

As I said since episode 2, Wellington is most likely just some drunk guys murmurings that's spread around like Chinese whispers with no one knowing that it actually exists. But people are too desperate in looking for a safe life too admit it.

  • Thats cheap.

  • Okay. Just watched it again. There definitely is a blizzard, and...

  • You could tell Wellington wasn't going to be a safe place. We all thought that it was going to be run by somebody, but by the looks of the picture there might be other plans ...

  • Plot Twist: Camp Carver was Wellington. :P

  • Sarah was right, the cabin is safe ;-;

Damn. Looks like staying in Carver's community was the better choice after all.

Carlos, Sarita, Nick, Sarah, Rebecca, and whoever may have died in the shootout will have all died...for this.

And what's worse it's just as the title says, there's no going back. We've made our bed, and now we must lie in it.

Edit: Added Sarita, can't believe I forgot her.

  • Let's just all head back to the motor inn guys,at least it was safer there.

  • In all honesty, the camp was safe and IS safe. The herd has little to no chance of actually ruining it. Damn the cabin group, they brought this upon themselves

  • Did anyone expect Wellington to actually be safe?

Well, there's no going back for them now.

Now they'll have to live in a place that's apparently in ruins through the winter and several snowstorms. That is, if Clem isn't all alone by the time she gets there.

  • Kenny thought it was.

Did anyone expect Wellington to actually be safe?

  • Christa too.

    Kenny thought it was.

  • Additionally, Carver could easily have been usurped, people who had seen his true nature were already becoming discontent and if the truth was spread around, we already probably had enough people on our side to take him down.

  • You know what's a possibility nobody has considered:

Wellington never existed in the first places it was just a pipe dream. BUT.....

that doesn't mean it can never become real.

What if the end of the season consists of whoever is left starting a new community?

    Nah, too hopeful.

  • And countless other people who crossed Matthew's bridge.

  • Wait wait wait wait. Why is everyone assuming Wellington is abandoned? If the community has proper shelter, why would they let their kids or anyone be out in a blizzard on a playground?

(The group arrives to the playground.)

Clem: Looks like there's no one here....

    Kenny: Goddammit!

Luke: And we came so far....

(Wellingtonians kick open the doors of their houses.)

Wellingtonians: What're you doing outside?! It's cold! Come on in and have some cocoa!! :D

  • alot of houses have a fire place up north so if there is wood they can hold through winter maybe

  • HAHAHAHA. The boat thing was actually much dumber because everyone who had a brain (no offense, Kenny) knew well in advance that whoever had a boat had taken it when the outbreak started. I felt like a moron when I had to tell the Savannah natives that we traveled there for a boat. Realistically, that boat in the shed would have been stolen by scavengers much earlier.

  • I don't think the playground is Wellington 100%. It's possible it might be somewhere they stop off close to it.

  • It's probably gonna be abandoned or something. But there's one thing I really must ask: Will they explain what happened to Christa?

  • She got lucky. Really lucky.

  • Who knows - the playground may be on the outskirts of Wellington. Don't give up hope just yet!

  • and watch the cold has no effect on the walkers remember crista had some doubt if that was true but not kenny he truly believes it does remember the boat he knew that could save them all HAHAHA

I still want to think the ending will be something like this:

All The Dead Lie Down - Cold, practically blind, and delirious, Clementine stumbles through a fierce snow-storm while doing all she can to hold onto Christa. Unfortunately, the strain is too much even for her and she collapses in the middle of a playground, begging Clementine to take the baby and leave her behind for the walkers to feed on. You can either walk away from her, or choose to stay with her until the storm ends. Either way, Clementine will faint on top of the baby. The final shot shows that the storm has dissipated, revealing the bodies of many walkers, Christa among them, frozen in their tracks and buried by the snow, with a couple of mysterious figures walking towards Clem's body.

Just as they reach her, Clementine stirs and the baby cries.

What if Wellington is dead and we find Christa's dead, frozen body. I would probably cry, especially if it's written really emotional.

  • I really like the idea of Clem and the baby struggling through the blizzard alone, but... ugh, if they bring back Christa just to kill her off immediately afterwards I'll be so disappointed :(

  • Wellington to the twdg group is what Terminus was to the twd group.

  • I think the whole going to Wellington thing is going to be a mistake. It won't be what everyone is expecting it to be. Something really bad is going to go down in episode 5, I just know it. :(

  • Well, the thread I originally posted that paragraph in was my personal idea on how Episode 5 would have panned out. In that, Christa would have at least had a chance to reunite and reflect with Clem on how the events of the second Season had changed her. Ideally, I'd want her to survive to raise the baby in a stable place...

...but, considering how bleak the writers are determined to make this season, it's not unlikely that we'll once again have Clem remain the only survivor.

  • Raise da roof Wellington! We're gonna pawty like it's Day 1 of the outbreak, w00t w00t!
