Well, Telltale works on the episodes simultaneously. Maybe they surpassed some of the other episodes in progress earlier on. Could have been a focus point, actually.
I'm not sure but I'm not too worried. Telltale gave us the season finale for Wolf only like a month after Ep.4 was released and it ended up being one of the best episodes. I'm sure it will be great, and I think Telltale wants to finish this season up so this can get started on Tales.
Adding to what the others said, Telltale also releases the season finale much more faster than the rest episodes. Episode five of the first season was also released in like a month, and more recently, the season finale of The Wolf Among Us.
Prior to Walking Dead, Telltale had a pretty excellent track record at genuine monthly releases.
Even lately with previous episodes of Walking Dead: Season 2 and Wolf Among Us, Telltale has gotten better at quicker releases, so I wouldn't worry about it. Granted, Episode 5 of Wolf Among Us was a little shorter than usual, but it was still a fantastic episode. As I frequently say, Episode length can help an episode, but it is not the only determinant of quality.

TellTale has a lot of going on so the sooner they are done with TWD, the better for them I guess...
