WE STICK TOGETHER. DON'T TURN ON EACH OTHER: A message to the community.
This forum... this place has held many great memories. Both good and bad. This place is practically my home. I lack the ability to connect in the real world so I found a way I can connect to others. But now... everything has GONE TO SHIT. The Forum has gone chaotic and bloodthirsty over an event that transpired recently. We recently lost a moderator: Jennifer due to a merging of some chat threads into the FOTD Lounge and the events that occured recently. And now everyone is fighting. People are being outcasted. The whole thing is a mess. We're all a part of it now. Seeing this happening... it makes me sad to what we've ALL become. When I first joined I wanted to make a difference, I didn't knew when or how but I finally found it. I'm not gonna be some hero this place deserves, I want to be the hero this forum needs. I want to save this place. To make this place better. AND THAT TIME IS NOW. To help everyone, and not for myself. I've done it before when you all doubt Telltale with it's release dates, and I'm gonna help you all again.And I'm not gonna give up and leave you guys, not for anything. I'll take on your hate. I'll take on your pain. But first hear me out! EVERYONE HERE IN THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY, HEAR WHAT I HAVE TO SAY!
Regarding the incident in the FOTD Lounge, in all honesty it was situation that quickly got out of hand and EVERYONE'S TO BLAME. Jen included(no offence but hear me out). You see, a lot of the users here never been into the Lounge. I have, everyday. A lot seems to misunderstand how the guys there felt in that place. You see it was like a home. We all consider each other as family, family is not all about blood, it's about who you care. And to all of us loungers it's a second family. No matter how far apart you are, as long as you care and love the other, THEY ARE FAMILY! I know a lot of you think that's crazy but life works in mysterious ways. You find something and when you like, it you just can't let go of it. I think you understand by what I mean by that at the very least. Anyway the members there were quite comfortable but sometimes when a situation happens unexpectedly, things gets out of hand. When Jennifer suddenly merged the threads without warning, the guys freaked(I wasn't there till the morning it closed) because it was so unexpected since they never saw it coming. I noticed when people tell you something is going to happen, everyone's rather rational of that. But when it happens suddenly in an instant, you lose your entire composure and freak out. That's exactly what happened. They freaked out and overeacted. They panicked. Hell I panicked a bit when I first entered last morning. I was confused as fuck(and yeah I was dick to those downvoters towards me that same morning. I am aware of my shortcomings and will hold myself to it). What they did was rather horrible to Jen. I didn't like it. I possibly hurt her to and I didn't even know it(I sent Blind a pm so he can send my apology to her since he may be able to contact her easier than me, but anyway I'm deeply sorry Jen if I was offensive). My point is we all including Jen misused our judgement. What Jen did wasn't corrupt it was just misuse of judgement is all. It happens (I don't hold her liable for it anyway). ALL OF US are responsible as it was a situation handled badly. It's everyone's fault.
To the mods I suggest if you plan on merging chat threads, maybe you should mention it first next time before merging. This way we don't have a panic and losing another mod and other users. Just a friendly suggestion.
AND To all FOTD Lounge members, we should all apologize and realize that was an unneccessary way of treating a mod. The mods, even though we don't agree with everything they do, protected this place from horrible people(and we're slowly becoming them), rid us of all the porn, spoiler leaks, and other stuff. All for free and to help this place in a Lawful Good Nature. If you look at TWAU game, there's a HUGE similarity between the communities. The authority stress to do what's best for the community, and the community get mesirable over some of the decisions. You can say Blind is the actual Bigby of this community and Jen was the Snow White of it too. Replay the series and you'll understand a glimpse of what they go through for us. And they have feelings too you know. Your not a mod, you're not a user, you're not a troll, you're a human being.
Now I see people badgering the others that I care about. It really bothers me when I see that too. Cuz I am NOT gonna hold that against them. I forgive them. I got to know the Loungers there and they're really good people. They made me laugh and smile. Them including me has issues but we tend to make for things we done wrong. A lot of you who just entered only are judging us from the RECENT POSTS. You don't even know our lives unless you read the whole book. AND THAT THREAD IS ONE BIG BOOK! We are able to accept people and sympathize them. We defend our people and home if it feels like we're under attack. And no Lingvort this is not The Godfather series. For a while a lot of bad things been happening, making us all edgy(yeah sorry Belan for the argument before, this was part of the reason for my attitude). So many of the ones who don't go there are also not entirely justified. They don't know everyone as much there like I do. Not all of them attacked her but you STILL say it's the entire lounge's fault when in fact only some did it. Come on, that's just stupid. And threaten to kill them? What the fuck, people?! And who's to stay some of you "non-loungers" folk did the same thing? There's gotta be at least one time you've done something quite similar like what happened to Jen. Many of the loungers are still kids, they're still growing up. Plus how you're treating them is no better. If you say it's to get them understand, well constantly doing it is NOT HELPING! YOU'RE ONLY MAKING THEM FEEL WORSE THAN NECESSARY! You should apologize to them too!
The point is: EVERYONE IS NOT ENTIRELY JUSTIFIED! And everyone's done bad stuff. Things that we regret. We just need to make up for it as we move on.
Look at us. EVERYONE IN THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY JUST LOOK AT EACH OTHER. Arguing, hating each other, bullying each other, threating each other. We're all better than this. We've all fallen so below the point that we're becoming an entire website of Lexi Porters when it comes to hatred. We're all letting our egos and arrogance get the better of us. We should all be ashamed of ourselves. This entire place is falling apart because of ALL OF US. WELL THAT NEEDS TO STOP TODAY! NO MORE HATRED!NO MORE PAIN! NO MORE HURTING EACH OTHER ANYMORE! IT ALL STOPS NOW! IT IS TIME WE ALL LOOK AT OUR MISTAKES, ACCEPT THEM AND TAKE RESPONSIBILTY FOR THEM. WE NEED TO FORGIVE EACH OTHER FOR WHAT WE'VE DONE! NONE OF US ARE TOO FAR GONE! WE ALL NEED TO ACCEPT EACH OTHERS DIFFERENCES AND FORGIVE EACH OTHER! IT IS TIME TO BECOME A REAL COMMUNITY! TO STICK TOGETHER AND FIGHT TOGETHER! IT'S TIME TO PUT AWAY OUR EGOS AND DIFFERENCES! I hope you all consider this. We need to reconsider everything or else all hope for this forum and the people is lost. And did any of you ever THINK that all this arguing and fighting will make Jennifer feel even worse than she already is (Again sorry Jen I wanted to get through everybody's skulls about it.)?! I get where you are coming from. Not everyone was attacking Jennifer and I saw that, way before it was closed by Blind Sniper. That doesn't remove the blame from those who did. And saying that I just don't know them like you do, or don't know the whole story, or simply judge them for their recent actions, well, maybe I do judge them. How would you feel about a, for example, burglar, who robbed a bank and wounded a dozen of people while at it? Negatively, I reckon. But how would you feel if people just started to tell you that "you don't know the whole story" or "you don't know him like I do"? I don't know these people as you do, I confess, I know some of them are good, and maybe you'll say that all of them are, I'm not arguing. Thing is, I wasn't there to witness all of the "good" that these people were showing, but rather how most of them overreacted on Jennifer's actions. She may have been partially guilty, but the response she got was undeserved from the first till last post.
I used "The Godfather" as an example, to show how this artificial division works. It's not the same, and I do know that, but it is really close.
You are asking us to "stand together". You, the guy who comes from the Lounge, which lived a separate live from the forums. You come from an already separate sub-forum, where nobody except of this so-called "family" of yours resided, despite some people from there saying that "everyone" is welcome, but it still was the same 15-20 people all over. If people who divided themselves from the main forums are asking me (no, not just me, us) to "stand together", I'll pass, monsieur, I'll pass.

I'm going to be completely honest, only read half of it. But i see where you're going with this. There are a bunch of other threads just like this but i think this one had more meaning to it. I wish people would stop with the hating as much as anyone would. Hell' i don't even think I've argued with a single forum member yet. And I'll have you know, the lounge wasn't the only place I go, I actually go all over the forums here, mainly TWD section but yeah. You saying no one's welcome just because it's the same people. Well I'll have know we welcomed new people there all the time, and they were happy to join.
So you'll put your own differences and say we shouldn't stick together? Well I'm trying to clean up this mess! I'm trying to save this forum, not destroy it! I ask you to try to reconsider things, let us all forgive each other and try to make up for our past mistakes and move on.

well most of us have apologized in fact someone even made this cause quite frankly most of us are sick of the fighting and we don't want people to judge us because of our actions during the situation

As I said, I do not doubt it. They are most likely good people, but they outrage some of them had doesn't paint them as good. Short-tempered is the best description I can come up with.
I don't blame you, personally. I did say that not everyone on the Lounge was responsible nor should be held accountable. As for being welcoming, well, good, I might be wrong, but it doesn't change that the backbone of the Lounge are the same people over and over again.
"Trying to clean up this mess"? I hate when people are trying to fix something that could've been avoided in the first place. And, for the record, this forum isn't savable. I might even refer to it as "The Byzantine Empire" from now on, seeing how it goes from good to shit and vice versa, and yet inevitably becomes worse. I won't "reconsider things", I won't even try to reconcile, because I don't see the point. We're all seemingly from different parts of the forum, so let each part move on separately.

There will be ALWAYS guys like this wich having fun to insult other people or humble them. The only thing what we can do is beeing nice to everyone and wait for the mods to ban those guys.
