Would you rebuy games for next-gen?

Talk, share, whatever you want to explain your opinion on the topic.

A perfect example would be the recent Metro Redux that came out, or Rockstar releasing GTA V for next-gen.

  • Maybe GTA V, depending on whether or not they add more features (like a replay editor). Can't think of any other games that I'd re-purchase though.

  • I wouldn't see why not since they're still adding minor/major significant changes to the online and the singleplayer. The replay editor is doubtful though, I heard that they're going to keep it on PC only, like the fourth one.

  • That's a waste of money to me. If I bought a game once and enjoyed it, I don't see a reason to buy it again. You might get some minor tweaks, better graphics, but that's about it.

  • What about if it contains all the dlc that you haven't purchased yet? Unless you're not a dlc kind of guy. :P

  • It's funny you say that, because I'm a huge dlc guy. I like to buy GOTY or complete versions of games so I don't have to worry about that. If I buy a new game I make sure to get a season pass so I get all the content. Unless its a next Gen exclusive dlc, I'll get it for my PS3.

  • I don't really see the point of it. It's the same game isn't it? Though, there might be an exception with GTA 5. They've added new stuff and the game looks visually amazing compared to what it currently looks like.

  • Yeah, GTA's going to get a major improvement from what I've seen of the E3 trailer, plus the heists in the online.

Metro Redux has all the dlc included, along with some features they've added to the game. Especially the remastered Metro 2033.

    I would buy a next-gen version of a game if I haven't played it before. But I wouldn't rebuy.

  • Guilty as charged, yes I would. :) Some games no. The Last of Us, GTA 5, Tomb Raider, and Metro are on my list. :)

Awesome, Chuck. :) Though, maybe the Last of Us can be skipped for now. :P
