Walking Dead: No Going Back, written by Nick Breckon, is by far the best episode of season two. A lot of people have criticized "Amid the Ruins" for a nonexistent illusion of choice and lazy / heartless writing. That's not the case with "No Going Back."
What Telltale has managed to pull off here is amazing. 90 - 120 minutes of emotionally compelling, gut-wrenching storytelling at it's best. Easily on par with season 1's "Long Road Ahead" and "No Time Left", No Going Back may not offer the best closure, but has an excellent structure, heartwarming- and breaking moments, and lets your choices play out in a way I did not expect it would. Even the biggest nagger has to admit that Telltale achieved something great with this episode in terms of storytelling.
There are a few illogical scenes or inconsistencies. But at a certain point in the game, something happens which causes the group dynamic to shift completely - and things go straight down from that point.
You certainly can look forward to it. And always remember: There is just ONE first playthrough.
My rating:
9.8/10.
My hype is real!!!!
too much hype....
I hope you guys won't feel let down. Then again, I was hyped as hell, and it exceeded my expectations by a long shot.
Thank you for your spoiler-free thoughts on the episode! I'm so excited to play this after I put my daughter to bed tonight.
It was all a dream. lol

Be careful though. I started a thread like this for episode 3 and someone spoiled Carver's death -.-
