Why going alone into S3 is best
First, I ended up shooting Kenny while he was pressing the knife at Jane, trying to kill her. I really liked Kenny but also recognized his flaws and how he e.g. mistreated Clementine at times.
So why is it best for Clem to continue alone in a very dangerous world?
Clem has developed SO MUCH during this season. She has learned the best from the characters she has had interaction with: survival skills, how to possibly treat people (feel empathy and give them the benefit of the doubt), stand on her own (Ep. 1 shed for example), exploit her age (and possibly gender) etc.
Jane was mostly a lone wolf but in my eyes she redeemed herself when she came back for the group. However, once we discover that she played such a trick on exposing Kenny's nature, I was truly WTF. Going with her and trusting her at this time is putting Clementine in danger. Jane knew how much Kenny meant to Clem; or that they at least shared an important history. Not predicting that it could very likely end up with herself (Jane) or Kenny dead is lying. She knew all along and counted on Clementine taking him out or getting Clem's sympathy for killing him herself after exposing his nature.
It's clear that Jane had mental issues over losing her sister. She wanted Clem to be with her ever since they went through the forest alone. Clem's words: "You are fucking crazy!" fits very much. Her response: "we can just leave all this behind us, I did it for you Clem ... I did it for us ... we are finally free" - She wanted to reignite her "sisterhood" no matter the costs. Given this it could lead to trouble, as seen in the flash-forward, with accepting new people into the group and somehow "corrupting" clem with her lone wolf approach - something Lee would not approve of in my view.
As stated, I killed Kenny while he was trying to kill Jane. This opens up some dialogue with dying Kenny which offered a fair closure for someone like me who really liked Kenny 90 % of the time. I view killing Kenny not as a bad act but rather as setting him free from all of his pain. He has been through so much and his words while dying sounded to me like the most clear-headed Kenny in a long time. He states that he had been searching for his death. This, I think, is quite understandable given his losses and everything. I think that Lee ultimately is proud of him and how hard he fought while realizing that some people can only go as far. And Kenny made it far, after all.
In my TWD 1 playthrough I shot Lee out of mercy. I view the act towards Kenny kinda similar. I don't think his last words are dishonest and just to spare Clem. I think he truly is honest and ready to go to the afterlife; believing the baby is dead. His care for Clem had deteriorated slowly throughout the season and he NEVER saw Clem the way Lee did.Kenny was putting the baby first. Even before Clementine and disregarded her in crucial situations e.g. if you chose to help Luke and thus falling through the ice. Everyone deserved a 2nd chance as Lee stated in the flash-back. But I think Kenny continuously disregarded Clem throughout this episode. Not so much in terms of her physical safety but more mentally.
Lee showing up in the flash-back can of course be interpreted differently BUT:
He states that sometimes you get angry and do dumb things. Things that aren't in your nature. And the more angry you get, e.g. being betrayed by someone you love, as Lee was, can even make you kill. But looking at Kenny at this point .... he has been so angry and done things to hurt people out of sheer anger where he should have tried to protect the ones he loved instead. He even states, in the car alone with Clem, that they need to take care of the baby. He views Clem, in many serious situations, as being on equal terms in terms of responsibility.
Lee also says that "part of growing up is doing what's best for people you care about, even if sometimes it means hurting someone else" - Obviously this calls for either shooting Kenny/letting Jane die because you care for the other. But I also think the first part can be applied in my case: shooting Kenny because it will set him free.Leading back to my 1st point Clem has shown her versatility to exist in multiple groups and bond with MANY sorts of people. Even a bad guy like Carver liked her. And if things go south she could use her age/innocence to manipulate people into taking her in/give her supplies etc.
Of course, a lot of the above come down to what you envisioned that Lee wanted for Clem. Or if you thought Clem should forge her own destiny/character free of what Lee thought. It also comes down to what you think is best for the baby.
I agree with many on the board that it will be tough, if not impossible, for Clem to keep him alive. But given that he didn't die in the snow, of infections etc. so far, I guess it is hard to say ..
Hope this made sense and thanks for reading. It is my first post and couldn't resist making it after having read some of the threads following this season's finale Would love to hear your thoughts and happily discuss further too.

Yeah i was happy jane showed up again, but after hearing her say that i was like how can you be so selfish i wish you never came back!
Alone Clem is the worst ending because it makes Clementine stupid enough to walk through a herd with a baby that can start crying at any random moment

why did you have to say an african-american girl? why not just a 12 year old girl? i really don't like you. there is something wrong with you or you're just trying to fuck with me all the time.
da fuck? Im not racist bro.
I agree, Clem ended up better off alone, if Jane killed Kenny, she has shown to be creepily possessive and was just as bad as Kenny in overriding your decisions. My Clem wanted To be heard and to make decisions and be listened to. Being with Jane wouldn't be freedom, just as how Jaime was never free from Jane either until her death. Jane is just like Kenny, manipulative and to an extent emotionally abusive and obsessive. She just isn't as obvious and short tempered as Kenny.
(I'm also teamCHRISTA so the fact that Jane wont let you go to Wellington at all was extremely troubling to me that we cant make our own decisions in her presence)
Going with Kenny option would have been good IF you were left at Wellington. Because Kenny finally learns to let go. His alternate death at Jane's hand was also a great way to go too. Going with him is sweet but I think overall counterproductive because Kenny has shown time and time again that he won't listen to Clementine and Clementine's decision will rarely be placed first.
Clementine in my playthrough tried her best. And Being alone after trying means she can live with no regrets.
DUCK SHUT UP YOU BAG OF HAMMERS
why did you have to say an american-american girl? why not just a 12 year old girl? there's something wrong with you and don't what it is.
i feel you're going out of your way to fuck with me. i'm not even following your comments. you're comments are everywhere and they are all horrible.
you think this is funny but i'm so serious. please go away.
...I always thought she looked asian, especially in Season 1. She looks darker in Season 2, but that's more of a 'grizzled tan' I'd say. Walking around in the sun and muck all day can do that.
As funny as I am, I really think you should shut up. You are littering every thread against any troll or anyone with an urban joke. You aren't the Walking Dead police. Thanks for your time.
i'm sorry this guy is an asshole and i can't just let him be one and no one is trying to stop him.
are you fucking with me?
I hate to be 'that guy'... but chances are it might not make much of a difference, UNLESS something drastic happens. We're talking about 5 considerably different endings, all of which MAY have to come to a singular ending (similar to how Season 1, Episode 5 ended and Season 2, Episode 1 Began).
Now... if this is the case, then it wouldn't matter where Clem goes; she'll end up either a) Alone, or b) Alone with AJ. Either that... OR we take over as another character for Season 3, which would be a doozy.
...no. I mean, it doesn't really make a difference, but she always looked at least half-asian to me. Dunno, I mean I know a lot of asian people, so I'm not making wild assumptions here. People look a certain way sometimes. It's a fact.
Now, should it make a difference? No, it shouldn't, and I don't think it does. But that's beside the point.
ok whatever man.
That is most likely because nobody cares. If a Moderator thinks he is going to far he will get banned, you don't have to call him a fucking asshole. Now seriously, STOP.
he has gone too far all he does is go too far. i can stop sure but you can't tell me this guy isn't a dick.
its not a grizzly tan but i can't go into detail about why its not because i will get banned.
He might be a dick, but not enough to get banned, no need in starting pointless argument with him.
i'm sorry i know its pointless he'll never get what i'm saying. hate that about the internet you can't feel anything.
